WASHINGTON --A visibly infuriated President Barack Obama surrounded himself with tear-stained parents of Connecticut school shooting victims Wednesday after the Senate voted down a measure designed to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and declared it a "pretty shameful day for Washington."
He said a minority of senators decided "it wasn't worth it" to protect the nation's children.
The Senate, which is controlled by the president's own party, handed him a stinging first defeat for his second term by voting down a bipartisan compromise to expand background checks for gun buyers.

Get with it folks, Obama is a “Lame Duck” POTUS. Neither elected Democrats or Republicans give a hoot about what he says!!! And.....his Obamacare will crater a piece down the road!!! A totally failed presidency, no matter how you measure it.
Saving one more life wasn't any big deal when brave Americans were in combat for 30 lives in Benghazi, leaving 4 of them slaughtered without any help ever being sent to "save" their lives. Can anyone imagine the media frenzy to attack GWB if he said we must change our constitutional rights and laws if it means we can kill even "one more" terrorist?
They don't give a crap about “lives” being saved, its all painful propaganda at the expense of those grieving parents who are used as modern AstroTurf for their political issue of the day.
As time goes on these poor people will feel used and these political Left Wing Vultures will drop them like a bad habit to move onto their next group to exploit.
Meanwhile families of those who died in Benghazi are ignored and their killers are alive and well.
Exploiting Families Of Sandy Hook Victims Backfires

As Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said on Wednesday, “in some cases” the president has used Newtown victims and their families as props. While still grieving, they were flown on Air Force One to lobby Congress, with the president repeatedly insisting — yelling, in fact — that “this is not about politics!”
There is something repugnant about the parents of murdered children being exploited several months later. It’s especially distasteful when the victims’ parents are hardly unanimous on gun control. Note Mark Mattioli, who compellingly called for well-trained, on-site armed guards to protect schoolchildren as a more effective alternative to new gun laws.

Sorry man ...but you're about ten years late on this one!!!
Presidents should be held liable for slander!
May it ever be thus.
The less Congressholes "accomplish", the better off we are.
Sorry to burst your bubble, libtards, but no such measure exists.
And he has the full support of the media. They still control the message. Ask the average person if they’ve heard of Kermit Gosnell.
Imagine what our political landscape would look like if women couldn’t vote.
'Course his own kids were surrounded 24/7 by automatic weapons the entire time.
In Chicago in 2012, only 6% of criminals who used guns in a crime were prosecuted. Enforce the laws obozo!
Also lets ban abortion, it kills more than any guns out there. Just look at that monster in Philadelphia.

Obama, born an A$$ and practiced to perfection!
Sorry b$tch, our kids will be protected by good guns and not by disarming law abiding citizens.
Agreed. The parents have been victimized twice.
