The largest movie theater chain in the country has cut the workweek of thousands of its employees, blaming Obama's health care law in a company memo. Regal Entertainment Group scaled back shifts for non-salaried workers to part time, putting them under the threshold at which employers are required to provide health insurance, Fox News reports.

“What Difference Does It Make?”

They’re just jobs! We have the federal hammock — EBT cards, welfare, Obamaphones and Section 8 housing for all!

You know Ubama will find a way to prosecute employers who do this.

Everything he does is to drive small businesses out of business. The big-government/big-corporate criminal complex doesn't care if the pie gets smaller, they just want the whole pie.

Talked to someone experiencing this yesterday. Went from 40 plus hours to be reduced to just below 30 hours because of the new rules. It was explained to this individual also the reason for the cut in hours. Small business is going to wither on the vine from zer0care. Nobody should be surprised and hope nobody is surprised. It was part of the plan from the beginning(imho).

You are almost certainly correct. Obama will have to make an example of someone or Obamacare will implode on the launching pad. And it’s gonna get real, real ugly for whomever he picks.

Here in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia, whole strip malls are dying away as businesses close up.

But, elections have consequences. The “American people” spoke loudly on 6 Nov and said they’re all-in with Obama’s agenda

There is an easy way to solve this, NO BUSINESS SHOULD COMPLY. What can Congress do? They can’t close down every business. Just don’t comply, business as usual.

With all the reported new IRS agents am thinking they have the litigation teams in place and ready. Have to feed the attorneys and their families is probably the battle cry. I am sorrowful for the young employed seeing their hours cut, and am sorrowful for the small business owners. I wish zer0care could have been stopped. This zer0care done deal is starting to ripple through the economy and our Lord only knows where it will end or what will be the full effect. Can believe it will not be a pretty site for our young, small business, or anyone having to be under the new system.

The beauty of socialism: the more problems it causes the more socialism is required to fix them. Think how many industries nationalizing insurance coverage can wreck, which then will have to be nationalized to save. I’m absolutely certain there are plans in the works to unionize the theater workforce, than nationalize the union, like they’re trying to do with childcare.

Thank you, Chief Justice Roberts.

Point taken. But since the election results that seems a bit like an alcoholic writing to the president of Anheuser-Busch begging him to "stop me before I drink again!"

I thought I heard on Fox news someone explaining that cutting back to part time employees wouldn’t work for the larger companies because if the total number of hours of all part time employees worked out to be as if over 50 full time employees, then Obamacare applied. Have thought that idea must not be correct as lots of big companies are cutting back to part time. Anyway, have to admit I am hard of hearing so I really could have not heard that right. LOL

If every single business refused to comply, the IRS couldn’t get them ALL. We could bring the American market to a grinding halt. That would certainly get Obamacare ground into dust and sent into the sun.

Didn’t someone once say, “We had to kill capitalism in order to save it”...or something similar?

And it always amazes, confuses, and enrages lefties when people react in ways that comply with their stupid ill thought out regulations, but not in the way the left wants to happen.

They think they can control everything, and it really astounds them when things happen outside their control anyway.
