Yeah. Not shared. I’m sure. The state lambs are going to keep out the federal foxes. Sure they will. Bless their hearts. As if a class of gangsters that conspired to launch Fast and Furious (400+ dead) is going to worry about the formalities of permission to view “essential” data bases. Essential for DHS/HSI, that is.

Here’s the dirty truth of our fine Government. They say “we” aren’t doing this or doing that. What they won’t or don’t tell you is that they have contracted whatever they are denying out to a non-government entity.

This is what the DHS, TSA, FBI, ATF, et al are doing - they’ll fight to the death to keep you from finding this out, but that is what is happening. The contracts are let with a minimum of explanation but always involve ‘information’ ‘data basiing’ and the like.

Criminals that equivocate like Bill Clinton’s “the meaning of IS.”

If he had respected and protected the rights of the citizens of Missouri he would still have his job.

Yeah, sure. In the future the feds will theaten to withhold or significantly delay some federal program funding unless said information is released to them.

If not an outright threat then the feds will make the state’s ability to get a federal program’s ongoing approval, funding, and quality targets significanly delayed or denied(think Medicaid funding, DOT road funds, etc.). Even delayed funding would potentially wreak havoc on a state’s budget.

This fish rots from the head down. This initiative by the feds mimics how commies in the Soviet Union abused psychiatry to deny civil rights. There's more bad news:

Abnormal Is the New Normal: Why will half of the U.S. population have a diagnosable mental disorder?

FReepmail me if you want off my list.

Department of Revenue Director Brian Long had been on the job for just four months.

He got the job.
He had clerks "make electronic copies of people's personal documents, such as birth certificates and concealed gun permits".
He sent those copies to the Federal Government via the IRS.
He suddenly resigns because the job "as Director has taken a toll on me and my family."

Traitorous commie bastard or drooling halfwit imbecile?

Both of course, is an acceptable answer.

I listen to an internet radio station out of... Joplin, I think.

This has been a real deal over there as it should be. They handed over the entire list - twice.

I would not be at all surprised to find that 25+ states have also done this without telling anyone.

Sooo, I've been told I was a tinfoil-hat-wearing-nut-job because I refused to get down on my knees and beg the State to allow me a permit to carry a weapon because I felt it was just another stealth attempt at gun registration. (leading to gun confiscation)

My response: "Any Questions?"

Prison time is certainly appropriate, at a minimum. If this was for those with mental illness, that would clearly prohibit every member of the GLBTP alliance from ever owning a CCW.

I want to know why the head of the state patrol who gave the info to the feds isn’t being investigated, fired or both.

Resigning is not good enough. Prison time is and would serve as an example to others who think they can get off Scott free after providing private information to the Govt.

"the head of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said his agency had twice obtained a separate electronic list of concealed gun permit holders that was based on driver's license information and shared that list with a fraud investigator in the Social Security Administration."

The thin thread of Liberty has already unraveled and...
starving the beast is the only way back to liberty.

I'm having lively debates with people like: Sola Veritas about the benevolence of government.

Any government, how poor it may be, is better than no government.

The meme states that according to scriptures, government was foisted onto man by God. Too bad the statists missed the many biblical references that shows it's the other way around - men beseeched God to be placed under the yoke of man's powers.

This ideology seems to be rampant within the so called Christian community (many debates just from my In Forum Posts). It's clearly central to the doctrine of leftist-statists.

This war by statists over the Natural Laws of liberty that God granted to all men will end soon. It is ready to collapse under its own weight of excess and corruption. The proud shall be humbled. Not my words....
