ThE PERPETRATOR or perpetrators behind the two bombs that exploded within a few seconds of each other near the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon are still unknown. But there are working theories. Terrorists often plan their strikes on anniversaries and commemorative dates. Yesterday marked both a patriotic holiday in Massachusetts and Israel Independence Day, which raises the possibility of Islamic terrorism. April 15 is also the deadline for filing federal taxes, which suggests the possibility of homegrown, anti-tax extremists. The pathological possibilities abound at this point.
The Marathon is an uplifting event. It is also a made-for-terrorism event. The presence of live television crews ensures that the evil deed will be broadcast almost immediately throughout the world. Reports indicate that at least three people died as a result of the explosions and at least 140 were injured, some horribly.
The image of the dead and wounded will be burned into the memory of Americans for decades to come.....

It couldn’t possibly be retalliation for Obama’s drone policy.
“It couldnt possibly be retalliation for Obamas drone policy.”
Or his leaving Islam and becoming a member of another religion...Leftism...
Much more likely to go after the PO or IRS offices.
A perfectly valid assumption, like Steve Martin in "The Jerk" evaluating the motives of the sniper shooting at him, "He hates those oil cans!" In both cases however there are flaws in the theories. Snipers have never been known to shoot oil cans out of anger, and tax protestors simply don't go around blowing up random people in public. The only groups I can think of who do that are usually Muslims.
Obviously amateurs. Metal trash cans are Faraday cages, and cell phones don’t work inside them. That’s why only two went off out of the seven bombs planted in trash cans.

Al Qaeda can only train so many people at one time and all the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad classes were full.
Exactly.....these people were looking for carnage. Usually right wing people attack Federal targets. True there are innocents that get hurt but they are not the targets. Muslims target people....for terror purposes.
Israel Independence Day also starts on the evening of April 15. At the time of the blast in Boston, it was evening in Israel (7 hours ahead).
April 30th is when the first half of property taxes are due.....then there’s May Day....and Lord knows what anger Mother’s Day brings....
I’m pretty sure Cinco de Mayo is going to be he!! this year. At least in the border states. Illegal Aliens Gone Wild!
I really don’t think a home-grown right wing terrorist would hit innocents like that. I believe they’d hit a soft gubment target.
Or mentally unstable registered democrats like Lanza, Jerrod, and Holmes.
I agree 100%. there’s no way this was homegrown right winger. this has religion of peace written all over it.
Isn't that a contradiction in terms? Those on the right side of the political spectrum are pro-God and pro-life. Terrorism is the domain of the left.
There appears to be a degree of sophistication and coordination which is typically lacking in the Lanza/Holmes types. Not saying a psychotic schizophrenic type isn’t capable of executing a semi-sophisticated and coordinated attack like this but it seems more consistent with something you would see in Iraq or Afghanistan. If it turns out it was a Lanza/Holmes type, it pretty much sucks all the air out of the left’s anti-gun arguments. If it was a islamic terrorism, Obama is going to have some ‘splainin to do.
