The Saudi Arabian man who is reportedly in police custody following the Boston Marathon bombing was chased and tackled by bystanders shortly after the blast, according to CBS.
Senior correspondent John Miller, a former assistant director of the FBI, reported this:
There is an individual in custody he is not free to go.
He is a Saudi national who was near the scene of the blast. When the blast happened he began to run. Now, in context, a lot of people began to run. A civilian who thought he was acting suspiciously chased him down and tackled him and then turned him over to Boston police....

I hope someone got the tackling of the scorched Saudi man on video.. The media will buy it then not show it.
Interesting to find out if he is retired military or a Freeper, or both....
Peter King said there was a recent call by jihadists to target American sporting events and events displaying American heritage, and this attack fits that call on both counts.
Just because it’s not a tax protester doesn’t mean it’s not a government hater. “Patriot Day” has me concerned.
yeah, some leftist guy at work started down this road after reading his lefty blog, I cut him off pretty quick with the media always wants to blame the conservative white guys, but then it almost always ends up a lefty or muslim. He didn’t say much else.
That’s great!
I’d say he had better hire a Lawyer. The ACLU won’t be far behind.
No, there is a video of Bin Laden discussung the 9-11 plan and how it exceeded their expectations when the buildings fell.
And a profiler, too.
Oh No!!! Profiling!!!
I just don't see any political point to be made by blowing up innocents at a non-political, non-government event. The target was more American identity than anything else.
P.S. I've never even heard of Patriot Day until some leftwing asshat said something about it today to smear people like me.
Shep will smack the perps with his purse.
A bomb had just gone off in a crowded area. I think it's entirely possible there were many people running from the area who had explosion-induced burns.
Lars Larson just mentioned something about a photo of a man on a roof at the time of the explosion, possible “eyes on the target.” Anybody have that photo? Or seen it?
From what I can gather authorities are saying they have not “arrested” anyone. They have not said they are not holding or questioning anyone.
Who knows? The story will surely change from moment to moment and day to day.
Were the Madrid bombs of similar make (i.e., full of ball bearings), and were these bombs remote-controlled detonated via cell phones? Could be some similarities.
It’s all over the place, including FR.
Click through a few of the earlier threads and I’m sure you’ll see it.
Man someone wants to ride the lightning.
I have to reply to you, just so that I can find that again when I want to see it. Awesome!
