Authorities have confirmed to The Post that they have identified a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing.
The suspect — a Saudi national who suffered shrapnel wounds in today's blast — is currently being guarded in a Boston hospital.
A law enforcement source confirmed to The Post that 12 people were killed and nearly 50 were injured in today's blast.

"Saudi Arabia, which gave us 15 of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers, will soon get the coveted "trusted traveler" status from the Department of Homeland Security.
Saudi travelers who are cleared through the program could bypass normal customs lines after showing their passports and providing fingerprint
Find it odd that report came out 5 hours ago and no other news service has confirmed it.
Too bad Bush didn’t go after Saudi Arabia after the WTC, instead of Iraq.
Some of the 9-11 hijackers didn’t know they were on a suicide mission. When BinLaden was questioned about that fact...he simply laughed.

Seems a bit early to draw conclusions about the perp(s).
Wording is everything...perhaps not in custody, but probably being questioned while in hospital. Expect an arrest/custody later when they can prove their suspicions.

There was speculation that some of the 9-11 hijackers didn’t know it was purely a suicide mission to crash planes, but thought it would be a drawn out hostage taking spectacle as in the past. Obviously...the leaders, the pilots knew the mission. Regardless...in an interview after 9-11 OBL was asked if some of the hijackers didn’t knew the mission was purely to crash the planes...OBL’s response was to laugh. In other words, it’s no hurtle to another Muslim unwittingly to their death.

I agree with you. I’ve noticed over the past few years on many FR threads the comments are mostly jokes (same ones over and over) and little information. I’m hoping it will change back soon.
I have to say, I'm a little perplexed when I hear witnesses talk about how upset they are that the runners prepared so herd for the marathon and were unable to finish the race...and how the attack put a damper on the day. (yes, ‘damper’). I guess I should give them some slack, they are still confused. But, it just seems a little odd.
