I don’t really care if Stevens was going to Benghazi to see Elvis. Are they trying to say the Russians had him killed? Could be, but that’s awfully risky. If the Russians wanted to shut down an arms smuggling operation, couldn’t they have just asked to talk to Obama and then told him they knew what was going on? Why run the risk of killing an Ambassador? And why hit the second facility? Why did Obama and the Democrats work to overthrow the government of Libya? They wet their pants for years over the Contras and now they are OK overthrowing every government in the Middle East? That doesn’t make any sense. Unless they are personally benefiting from all this fighting.

he was there on and off over months. planning a mission with an open go-date and a 2-3 days window is doable.

I think their is more than one unclean story line that was in play at the time. It is obvious that Hillary and Obama new this was going down ahead of time. They made sure they distanced themselves in case anything went wrong. They had a ready made story line. This was an operation that from bad to worse. It was all about a kidnapping and a rescue that would make Obama a hero shortly before the election. The ambassador was a hero in Benghazi; he wouldn’t be harmed. They just stage a nice clean rescue a week or so after the kidnapping. Oops, some former special ops folks are going to mess up the plan. Tell them to stand down. Oops, the military wants to run to the rescue; tell them to stand down. Oops, some military people are opening their mouths challenging the story line; destroy them.
