**SNIP**

“Just to put in a good word for the frustration that our staff is feeling in the Cannon [House office building] tunnel,” she said, in a YouTube video of her comments. “We’re still in the midst of the Spring Break session and the lines are very, very long and with the closure — again, when we’re in session, so not just doors, but magnetometers, having a staff only magnetometer open in the Cannon tunnel as much as possible so there are staff when — particularly when they are walking with us, who can go around them — it would be extremely helpful if you could look at that again and get another mag open as often as possible.”

I don't understand: From what is she claiming to be "exempt?"

But thanks for the excerpt!

I thought this was going to be about sharing their lunches with Debbie’s staff.

Sounds like the police have been searching people with metal detectors in the tunnel to the House office building, creating a traffic jam.
Debbie is "special", her time is more valuable than ours, so she gets to skip the long queue and the wand search.
Now she wants the same privilege for her staff..

My word...Debbie...I can see your corundum...

How heartbreaking..

Your staff has to mingle among the unwashed masses and mere peasants...it must be extremely difficult to deal with the harassment of not be treated like elitist VIP people you are...

I feel your pain...

Shaking head...

Translation -- When we make the public suffer to "show them" how awful the sequester is, we, the elites, don't expect the same treatment!

Debbie Washerwoman Schultz isn’t relevant.

I wish that were true. She got the Presidency and Senate with every seat won in 2012. She shouldn’t be relevant, but she is.

She should sell her Corvette and donate the money to the government.

“particularly when they are walking with us”

Could there be a better example of her elitist mindset? Unfortunately this mindset is not unusual on Capitol Hill.
