"Kicking down the door at the wrong damned address isn’t a mistake."

Is this true for all cases of wrong addresses?

"Shooting a truck full of holes that doesn’t remotely fit the description of the one in the A.P.B. isn’t a mistake."

Since you are not referencing a specific incident, and are leaving the question open to interpretation, what if the truck that was accidentally stopped contained wanted violent felons who were intent on killing a police officer?

"This is potentially lethal negligence."

Yes, potentially.

He is referencing the period when Cnristpoher Dorner was on the loose and LEO! before asking any questions or ascertaining with certainty they had the right vehicle and person, simply opened fire and shot up vehicles with more than 40 rounds in instance and nearly 100 rounds in another.

In both instances the vehicles didn’t match the description and did the the two little chinese galsm who were perforated.

Dorner was a hulking black fella, weighing some 250 pounds or more.

Ah, the "Fire Marshall Bill" approach to law enforcement.

It is if you are demolishing a condemned house. I saw a case where a wrecking crew began destroying “the wrong house” with the owner and his family inside.

It’s also true if you are kicking in the door and you are armed to the teeth.

The truck in LA that had two women in it and the cops thought they were a large black man.

Were you being cutsie or were you really unable to but two and two together?
