A Classic! RiP, you made us laugh!
Rest in Peace. Semper Fi, Marine................
Darn. Loved this guy as a child.
Not of much interest to the tabloids ... never resorted to obscenity or vulgarity ... never involved in a sex scandal ... no drug or alcohol addiction issues ... not a raving libtard supporting such chic causes as gay rights, global warming, or animal rights ... married to the same woman for over 60 years ... he could not have made it in Hollyweird today!
I know his first words at the Pearly Gates
” I’ve got heaven....all over my body “

My favorite comedy!
*sigh* that’s back when Comedian Roasts had class and dignity.
Now they are filthy pigs wallowing in their own feces.
Unfortunately, that's true. Tim Conway and Bob Newhart are the only comedians from that era that come to mind who are still around. Back then, a comedian had to be talented and creative to make it. They didn't rely on vulgarity and bathroom jokes as the basis for their routines.
My initial thought, too! :)
Jonathan Winters was one of the truly funny comedians. If only we had ANY today. Rest in peace, Mr. Winters.
R.I.P. Jonathan, the world has lost another great comedian and what we are being raised to take their place is a sad reflection!
Winters was born in a tiny stone cottage in the village of Bellbrook OH, now an affluent Dayton suburb. The cottage is the town’s library, appropriatly named for Winters.
If you don't know what that reference is, you should.
By far some of his best work...IMO.
It’s the Big W, I tell ya! The Big W!
RIP you funny man, you.
Here is a great roast with Johnathon Winters .... so many of them gone:
