Dear Friends,
I believe every senator should be required to go on the record about their views on the Second Amendment.
And yesterday, I voted for a procedural motion to require senators to go on the record about where they stand on gun control. I believe the American people deserve to know where the Senate stands on this issue.
I want to debate and I want to vote. Im not afraid to show my support for the Second Amendment.
Here's why:
· Many senators have refused to take a position on some of these gun control issues for fear of angering one side or the other. Theres only one way to see where Senators actually stand on the Second Amendment make them vote.
· We still have the ability to filibuster and subject any gun control legislation to the 60 vote threshold in the United States Senate.
· Filibustering, before the debate even begins, means many senators get a free pass. Some politicians dream scenario is one where they dont actually have to vote FOR or AGAINST a gun control proposal but can tell each side they were with them all along. Again, lets make senators vote.
· Nothing the Democrats are proposing in their gun control bill would have prevented the Sandy Hook massacre. We need senators on record. Do you support these gun control measures?
· Finally, I have my own legislation, supported by the National Rifle Association (NRA), which I want to bring forward in the Senate. My legislation would make a real difference in keeping guns out of the wrong hands.
Its designed to prevent individuals like Alice Boland, a mentally disturbed individual who once pled Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity in federal court for threatening to kill the President of the United States from legally buying a firearm. Under current law, she was able to pass a background check, buy a pistol, and go to Ashley Hall School in Charleston where she tried to shoot several school officials. One bullet in her hands is one too many.
Again, as a strong supporter of the Second Amendment I welcome a debate on gun control. The American people deserve to see where their elected representatives stand on the Second Amendment.
Lets vote.
Sincerely,
Lindsey O. Graham United States Senator

ALL politicians are liars, and are not to be trusted...especially with the Constitution.
Word.
Among his bullet points, Little Lindsey missed listing THE most important reason he voted for closure.
The 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution precludes infringing upon the right of the people to bear arms. To amend the US Constitution (to weaken or eliminate that Amendment) requires a 2/3 vote in the US Senate.
By voting for closure, Little Lindsey has allowed (unconstitutionally in my opinion) the Senate to pass various infringements upon our right to bear arms by a simple majority—there are sufficient Democrats to do that so Lindsey can be in the minority voting against the legislation and then, acting innocent, claim that he voted against the legislation. Little Lindsey, you are not fooling anyone—your days in the US Senate are numbered and will end in 2014. Then you can move on to your dream job of being a towel boy in one of DC’s bathhouses.
Translation: We had the people in place to keep this monstrosity from reaching the floor, but I, in my infinite wisdom and beneficence, decided we need to let it in through the cracks. But you needn’t worry because, even though I allowed it to rear its ugly head, I’m really really against it. Not a chance in hell that it passes, but if it does, it won’t be my fault.
Once his amnesty-sponsored new voters kick in, the 2nd Amendment won’t be your only Constitutional right at risk.
Youre lucky. My senators (flake and mccain) never bothered to answer.

Look closer, the “email” was a press release. It was almost certainly “robo emailed” to an address list. And on that address list is probably the email address of everyone who has ever sent Graham’s office an email.
Some people would insist upon putting it to a vote if they knew the other side had 51 votes to have them eliminated.
Politics is not a gentlemanly thing when it comes to basic rights. If you want to play nice, save it for the vote on where to put the statue of Dear Leader.
Yep. And that is their strategy for most things. That way the rubes have no clue what is really going on.
I’ve made multiple calls to the local offices of all my congress critters (the Capitol board was in meltdown) and told them that any further efforts by obozo and them to in any way diminish the Second Amendment will be equivalent to opening a Pandora’s Box that will require much blood to reclose — on BOTH SIDES!
He knows the vote and he’s been told he can vote against it.

Oh no, it was definitely a mass email.
I never for one second considered it to be just for me.
Oddly enough, I did get an email from Sen. Tim Scott (my other Sen.) that, if it wasn’t written just for me, was awfully specific.
I have also gotten emails from one of my State Senators that were clearly written to me alone. Even responded to specific questions I had written. So I know the difference.
"I'll be happy to talk about gun control.... just as soon as you pass an amendment repealing the 2nd".
"The rights to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed"
B$ we have enough traitors who would switch their vote. If it comes to a vote, no matter what understand they think they have, it will pass.
This is the same traitors that let health care come to a vote, and that worked out really well.
How many Dems lost their seat over that vote?
I used to get wonderfully warm mails and letters from Jim DeMint. Standup guy.
Every correspondence I’ve received from Linda has been generic in nature. Some haven’t mentioned the topic I wrote about.
Linda just flat doesn’t care about us. She’s MUCH more interested in being a “special” friend to McJuan and appearing on the Sunday shows.
Lindsey swallowed the AGW Global Warming argument hook, line and sinker.
I remember he said he could swear by AGW Global Warming because he himself ‘witnessed’ the slow rise in sea levels in South Carolina.
Hey Lindsey Graham! What happens to the level when you put ice cubes into an empty glass all the way to the top? Yeah, it melts and the water level is about half of where the top of the ice was. Every physics student understands that water volume expands when it is frozen and shrinks when it thaws.
Physicists have calculated the change in sea levels if all the polar caps melted. The result is a few inches increase.
The fact that Lindsey Graham doesn’t know basic physics is not important but it is important that he have a professor of physics in South Carolina help write policy with the Senator’s DC staff before the Senator votes.
And further, on any issue of importance he should make himself available to be well-informed. But he is a wreckless man and appears to go the way the establishment wind blows.
Amen
