Virginia does the same. If you have a CCW and get pulled by the police, they will ask if you are packing and run the gun to make sure it is legal (not stolen)

Yes, on an individual basis. Here, they grabbed the entire list and turned it over to the Feds. Why?

Setting us all up for persecution.
Heads need to roll in the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Does Virginia pass the info to the Feds?
Write to your state governor and ask if he has received similar requests from the Feds and if he complied!

This is why so-called “Constitutional Carry” is the only way to go. No permits, no lists.

That goes beyond “officer safety”. It is an illegal search IMO. Do they ask if you have a stereo in the car and check the reported serial numbers for theft reports too? How about your clothing tags? Whoa, let’s check the tires too.

You are correct.

Agree wholeheartedly. CCP = road map to your front door.

oh sorry, I never post anything and didn’t realize you already did it. I think it is so outrageous, why on earth would Social Security need to know. Glad you spotted this and put it up, sorry to bore everyone with a second posting.

SSA? Read OBAMACARE into that one.
I bet this was some kind of agreement between some IG office in SSA and the Missouri HP. See we got these cop wannabees in all these government agencies now. They trade info. More than likely the state revenue agency told them to take a hike so they end ran them through the highway patrol. My guess is this info did not end up with SSA either, it was probably passed onto ATF or DOJ for some nefarious matching program.
Another in a long list of arguments for why we need far less than more record keeping, especially at the federal level. The Feds have no legal legitimate reason for acquiring this info.

not boring me, I never caught the first posting
To: yldstrk
I’ll bet almost every state that issues permits has provided just such a list. If I had a tinfoil hat I’d wonder if the whole purpose of permits was to assemble a confiscation list

I don’t freak out when people post duplicate articles. This needs to get spread far and wide and the more people that see it and get pissed off, the better.
It’s just good to link the articles IMO.
