A North Korean missile launcher has moved into the firing position with rockets facing skyward, Kyodo reports, citing a Japan defense official.
The Japanese government is on high alert, citing indications that Pyongyang might soon launch ballistic missiles at its island neighbor.
Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera said Thursday morning that so far Tokyo was responding by gathering a variety of information ... with a sense of tension, according to Kyodo.

It should never have gotten to this stage. The sequester was supposed to end life as we know it by now.

I would like to know what Fatty Kim’s specific grips are today? Is he mad at Japan? Why? Is he mad at the Republic of Korea (duh!)? Is he mad at us? Why? What has set him off or has the rabies taken over that little mind of his?

Hi Tiger,
How significant is anti-American sentiment in South Korea, and a slightly different question, how significant is sentiment in favor of the government (not the people) in DRNK? In your opinion. I think most posters on this thread clearly distinguish the people of DRNK and the government. Any thoughts?

Have been out and looked around for references to this story. It appears consistent. All networks and cables have same story. I believe though this a ploy. I do not know who (first answer of who) is behind this ploy but I believe it to be a ploy or one can call this a ruse. Next thought ... What would be the motive for running a ruse? Next thought ... Where is the proof this is not some elaborate ruse or if this is not an elaborate ruse where is the proof? To what degree or when does this add to or detract from what is true or not true. I hate doing work for so called media. They and their experts are appalling in coming forth with the truth. Now another question ... What is the truth and do I have it? Begin breakdown ...
Remember .. only part of the question of who was answered in above paragraph.
What would be the motive for running a ruse?
Simple and true answer Money. lil kim is saying by his actions he wants money. Why am I bothering to type this ... everyone knows this. Motive ... Money.
Where is the proof this is not some elaborate ruse or if this is not an elaborate ruse where is the proof?
There is no proof except to go back to what is the motive question in the above paragraph.
To what degree or when does this add to or detract from what is true or not true.
Experts ... gotta love them and please note most of them are well paid. So what and when do experts know? Simple answer ... when the rest of us know. Experts are props.
What is the truth and do I have it?
I answer like Fox on this one .... I report ... you decide.
There it is fellow FReepers and I'm no expert. So shoot me!

Since shelling of SK island, mood started to change. After the last election, with new president, momentum shifts further. Political right(conservatives) had been shouted down and forced to submerge under the water. They are starting to resurface. Recent N. Korean situations made it harder to be an apologist for Pyongyang. Atmosphere has changed, and the left is starting to lie low. For now. The right feels that they can count on her when it comes to NK. They hope and believe that she won't waver under non-stop threats. So far she lived up to their expectation.
As for NK people, some SK folks are not happy about their inability to rise up against Pyongyang regime. If NK folks can not do their job, the mess will be righ on the lap of SK people, some feels. Pyongyang regime is reviled and hated by a majority of people.

Pyongyang regime is reviled and hated by a majority of people. Thanks for the reply. I believe that statement, I just wonder about the breadth and depth of that sentiment. I am baffled that anyone this side of South Korea's Michael Moore types can have any sympathy with the Government of the DPRK. As for the people of DPRK, they have nothing but my deepest sympathy, their lives have been destroyed by monsters, whether they even know it.
A lot of Americans wonder why we are even in South Korea. I tend to be an isolationist, but when I think about what would happen to Israel and South Korea without U.S. support, I think again. Good luck, and God bless.

Please let me add this ... I'm angry this morning and Tiger, I want you to know am not angry with you. China Money. Our Money. US dollars to China. China Money to Nks. Is there nobody who sees the pattern of what is being done? The news stories out of the media are ruses. I have no doubt any longer. Our dollars have rewarded bad behavior. Our media has hushed this fact up. Obama bows and give our money away to people that want to kill us. Any politician stand up for any money to nation that want to kill us is acting in an insane manner. This is appalling and our media goes right along with all this and does add one drop of truth. WTHeck lame-stream drive bys? Who is telling you in the media you and your families are not going to suffer if this mess hits the fan? If the media tells me one more time they have no clues ... I'll have to answer WTHeck look under your nose .. Follow the Money. Rant Off Tiger and no offense intended.

I believe NK is trying to provoke an attack...They can get away with so much more politically if they are attacked...
I don’t believe they will shoot at the U.S. or Japan...That would be futile for them...
All they need to do is get a couple of low flying nukes into S. Korea...World and U.S. opinion wouldn’t allow the U.S. to respond with nukes...
If S. Korea is seriously nuked, what would be the point of continuing the war??? Nothing left to fight for and not much of a place to fight from...
