On Monday, Rasmussen Reports released the results of a national telephone survey which found that 69 percent of Likely Voters agree that "the U.S. military be used along the border to protect American citizens."
The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on April 3-4, 2013 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
The rather overwhelming results come amid recent reports that the Mexican drug cartels are now operating well within the U.S. borders....

Even among supporters of "comprehensive" reform, 64 percent want the border to be secured first before any pathway to citizenship for those here illegally can begin.
None of these dynamics has changed since the immigration reform effort attempted when George W. Bush was in the White House

It’s easier than finding them all jobs when they get out or return from the ME. Might be rough for the Navy though
A majority of voters are mentally damaged and will respond however a pollster coaxes them to respond.
Works for me!
We could secure the border anytime we wanted to. It only takes the will to do so.
New Study: Immigration Redistributes
Income from Poor U.S. Workers
Nation’s top immigration economist finds tiny overall benefit
comes from reducing wages of native-born competitors
WASHINGTON, DC (April 9, 2013) Borjas, recognized by Business Week and the Wall Street Journal as Americas leading immigration economist, calculates that the wages of native-born workers in competition with immigrants (legal and illegal) are reduced by $402 billion per year.
This reduction in wages is offset by an increase in profits or wages of those who use immigrant labor of $437 billion. The resulting negligible “immigration surplus” represents two tenths of one percent of GDP. It is most often the least-educated and poorest American workers competing with immigrants who suffer the most from immigration.
Illegal immigration, specifically, creates an even smaller benefit to the overall economy six one-hundredths of one percent which comes from the same source: lowering the wages of less-educated American workers.
The report, Immigration and the American Worker: A Review of the Academic Literature, is published by the Center for Immigration Studies and is online at http://cis.org/immigration-and-the-american-worker-review-academic-literature
Dr. Steven Camarota, Director of Research of the Center for immigration Studies, comments, Professor Borjas’s findings on the magnitude of the immigration-driven reduction in wages for less-skilled American workers is disturbing. I hope those formulating immigration policy in Washington will consider the effects on our poorest countrymen of amnesty for illegal immigrants and further increases in legal immigration.
If we use the military at the borders, then there is zero need for Custom and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) and ICE should be disbanded.
If people invade America then they are illegal aliens.
Race is not involved, just country of origin.
Hence, these invaders are ILLEGAL ALIENS.
AMNESTY, NO!
HOSTILITY, YE$$$$$$!
GO HOME, MEXICANS!

The Rio Grande. Maybe Sec. Kerry could lead them on a boat cruise.

The Senate “Gang of Eight” is winning its media offensive to make amnesty seem inevitable. That could cause some in Congress who might vote against amnesty to crumble under pressure. We need to show our elected officials that Americans will not accept excuses for passing an amnesty!

Dear [each elected official’s name goes here],
I oppose the Senate Gang of Eight’s amnesty proposal to legalize millions of illegal immigrants, in this time of budget deficit crisis and high unemployment.
Combined with current laws, the legalization would be a pathway to massive new welfare expenditures, job competition, chain migration and more illegal immigration.
1. It would cost trillions of dollars in extra government spending on social services.
2. It would immediately put millions of illegal aliens in front of the employment line to hold or take U.S. jobs while 20 million Americans who want a full-time job can’t find one.
3. It would allow amnestied aliens to begin endless chains of relatives to come and add further competition for jobs and government resources.
4. It would immediately legalize 11 million illegal aliens without requiring triggers that fully implement enforcement first. The previous seven amnesties between 1986 and 2000 had no enforcement triggers and served only to entice 11 million new illegal immigrants who now demand their own amnesty.
Sincerely,
(Your Name Will Appear Here).

I’m good with that.
Never going to happen. The four border states are so thoroughly corrupted by greed and graft that you’ll never get them back. Arizona may possibly have a chance, but the feds are beating them down as we speak. The dems have unleashed an onslaught on the border states, they need that border wide open for their nefarious purposes. They need a compliant population, accustomed to socialist regimes, and the need them to populate the border states to dilute the indigenous population. Illegal immigration is a slow invasion by another means, aided and abetted by politicians in DC.
This is exactly why you don’t want all of the weapons and ammo manufacturers to relocate to Texas. They’ll be a blue state by 2016 if they allow the illegal immigration invasion to continue. Spread it all out over all of the red states, with no centralized places to lay seige to.
My guess 'the most reliable dem voters'... dependent, broken and stupid...That's one part. The other part? Wealthy liberal elites who benefit from cheap labor, hate the middle class, and are naturally exploitative and manipulative...
30% plus 1% and it's a liberal go... (Finally we know who the REAL 1% are...)
No No No and Hell No! Keep the Military OUT of law enforcement unless you want a repeat of Germany, the Soviet Union, China and every other despotic dictatorship. There is a good reason for NO Military law enforcement. YOUR SAFETY FROM A DICTATOR!
ICE would be used to track ‘guests’ on tourist visas, to make sure they don’t inadvertantly overstay.
Personally, I’ve thought for years that we ought to move our military bases to the border. They don’t necessarily have to patrol. But it would be a lot harder to sneak by them.
You think Mexico is a socialist state? It’s a failed 3rd world hell hole that’s never been as civilized as a socialist state.

HELLO! The one legitimate use of the military is to protect our borders! This is way beyond ‘law enforcement’.
We already have 18,000 BP agents on the border. We just need to replace their leadership and let them do their job.
