In The Company You Keep, Robert Redford stars in as well as directs a story of an ex-Weather Underground radical who has been living quietly as a public-interest lawyer in upstate New York for more than 30 years. His true identity is discovered by an annoying reporter (Shia LaBeouf) after the apprehension of one of his co-conspirators (Susan Sarandon), who was one of four terrorists who robbed a bank and murdered several security guards in the process.
Redford, that noted liberal activist, shows where his sympathies truly are. This is a movie that argues:
1. The Weathermen were fighting for peace.

killing innocent people and blowing them up causes “peace”?
didn’t they agree that they might have to round up and execute as many as 25 million Americans?
did the NAZI’s fight for “peace” too?
Redford is a leftist pig.
Old Dad will be saving the price of admission on this piece of film trash from the ultraliberal POS who dircted it.
Back at ya’, Redford: to paraphrase a saying popular among campus radicals at the time, fighting for peace is like fornicating for chastity.
Too bad great singer and sweet girl, Jackie Evancho, was sucked into this movie.

Will Redford show this ex-underground terrorist having a fund raiser for a future First Black President?
Why didn’t the old leftist just do a 6 hour mockumentary on Bill Ayers and get it over with. Redford MAY have been relevant 30 years ago, but today he is an angry irrelevant old fart trying desperately to relive his past.
Pigs are pretty smart, Redford not so much.
I'm amazed that the author kept the list down to 4. Given Robert the Red's proclivities, I might have guessed a more appropriate article would have been "The 4 Half-Truths in this Piece of $h!te"
I saw him playing a would be gangster on an old Untouchables episode on Sunday, got his just ends.
I guess it is camp again today to revel in the exploits of those who tried to bring the country down 40+ years ago. I’d truly love to give these clowns then and today a one way ticket to a country of my chosing where they could support some anti establishment type. Haiti is near by as is Cuba. Russia a bit farther. Wait, North Korea, there would be an excellent choice along with Iran.
what truly irks me is that scum like this reaps rewards from a country they detest. It is past time for Americans to quit putting money into the pockets of people who hate this country.
Yet any movie producer who would have the temerity to create a product with a patriotic flavor would be termed “racist,” “nationalist,” and “xenophobic.”
That's redundant.
Fortunately, at her age, she had no idea who Redford was when she got the part to play his ‘daughter’.
To her, it was just another great opportunity and something ‘fun’ for her to do.
Be sure to check the credits for creative consultant Bill Ayers.
Loosely based on the Brinks holdup in Nanuet, NY, very close to home for me at the time. No surprise that the hypoctrites who have and still sympathize with the weather underground are among the most feral anti 2nd amendment scumbags around. Besides you couldn’t pay me to see anything with susan saranwrap in it.
Here’s a thought: If our side would stop attending such movies perhaps Hollywood would stop making this anti-American junk. We need to just ignore them and tune them out.
Redford is an elitest, communist creep who hates America. The only situation I would watch him in is if he poured a gallon of gas over his head and lit a match to it. THAT would be worth watching.
Since Hollywood can’t make any more movies about killing George W. Bush, they gotta do something...
Of course she (Jackie Evancho) didn't. Her parents may have, but even if they did I don't blame them for letting her take this opportunity. Jackie will likely go on to bigger and better things in films. She already is a big success as a singer.
