President Obama released his official I, I, I, me, me, me statement on the death of former U.K. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher Monday afternoon.
The statement, from a President whos leadership is the antithesis of Thatchers, was released on the White House website:
With the passing of Baroness Margaret Thatcher, the world has lost one of the great champions of freedom and liberty, and America has lost a true friend. As a grocers daughter who rose to become Britains first female prime minister, she stands as an example to our daughters that there is no glass ceiling that cant be shattered. As prime minister, she helped restore the confidence and pride that has always been the hallmark of Britain at its best. And as an unapologetic supporter of our transatlantic alliance, she knew that with strength and resolve we could win the Cold War and extend freedoms promise.
Here in America, many of us will never forget her standing shoulder to shoulder with President Reagan, reminding the world that we are not simply carried along by the currents of historywe can shape them with moral conviction, unyielding courage and iron will. Michelle and I send our thoughts to the Thatcher family and all the British people as we carry on the work to which she dedicated her lifefree peoples standing together, determined to write our own destiny. [Emphasis added].
Our Socialist in Chief should recall the Iron Ladys words:
The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money. ― Margaret Thatcher
RIP Baroness Margaret Thatcher.
Besides, I don't suppose Mrs. Thatcher contributed any money to his campaign.
Can you say "Maldives?"

Uh, no. She was white. She was a baroness
The damn White House spins so much, they’re going to screw themselves into the ground.
as he chucks Churchill’s bust out the door
Zippy’s arrogance and narcissism preclude him from ever having anyone close enough (even relatives) worthy of his presence at their funeral. Being Pres__dent is about Zippy, not the United States who expects the very highest ambassadorship efforts from “the foreigner”.
We can hope.
Mooooooooochelle and Odumbo shouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence. Neither are fit to lick or shine Mrs. Thatcher’s shoes.
I mean we can hope they will “screw themselves into the ground” (per popdonnelly’s post), not that they would in any way carry on Maggie’s legacy. No chance of that happening.
Reason being, it took that long to find someone who knew, who Thatcher was............
