Sad day that we knew was coming ping.

One of my favorite videos of her is here:

“You are ok with the poor being poorer, so long as the rich are less rich.”
bttt
Sad to see her passing.
Also sad to think that Obama is busy trying to undo the legacy that she and Ronald Reagan worked so hard to build.

Skip to 3:10 to learn about how the Kids were suppose to rat out their parents to the Gestapo.
Turning the Kiddies into what they want.
Thank you for sharing. She was one of the best. I asked
my coworkers today( ages spanning late 20’s to my old age) if
they remember who Margaret Thatcher was. Only one ( in her late
30’s) said that the name sounded familiar. It was depressing. I
took that moment to tell them who she was. Good heavens. Such
a lack of history...
I am in my early 40’s and I am coming to the conclusion that I am part of the last generation that was taught to think and explore and consider history when coming to conclusions. Yet, I probably should credit FR more for that than my education.
That is a key component in marxism, if you do not teach historical reality, then it is easy to get the mobs to accept collectivism. If they have no knowledge of Margaret Thatcher, then they have no concept that collectivist evil was ever opposed successfully....
I remember her well, and I remember how as a young adult my confidence in the future of our country grew when I watched Ronaldus Magnus, Margaret Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II leading the world into freedom. So different from today.
Forsythia x intermedia "Suspensa" have now fully-opened in these upper-60/lower-70°F temps, just since late Sunday and this morning. What a show:
Cherries are opening, redbuds are open, magnolia buds are swelling... there are too many to list here.
70-85°F temps are forecast for the next 2-3 weeks. I'm putting screen door inserts in, and storing tempered glass winter storm doors, as I listen.
Rush has been talking about her. God rest her soul.
I love forsythia! Unfortunately my property is too heavily shaded for it, but it grows well elsewhere in my neighborhood. A real sign of spring. It’s not in bloom here (Colorado) yet, but it will be by the end of the month.
How lucky is Rush—to have met (and dined with) Thatcher. May she rest in peace.
My favorite quote (the consensus one is close second) “socialism works fine til you run out of other people’s money.”
Unfortunately, even when they run out of money, our current crop of socialists just double down on stupidity.
And hire more people to man the printing presses for more money.
I’m glad Rush is eulogizing (or just speaking so eloquently) of Madame Thatcher. He monologue is moving.
I’m going to ask my 15 year old (when he comes home) is he knows who she is.
