Thank you for sharing. She was one of the best. I asked
my coworkers today( ages spanning late 20’s to my old age) if
they remember who Margaret Thatcher was. Only one ( in her late
30’s) said that the name sounded familiar. It was depressing. I
took that moment to tell them who she was. Good heavens. Such
a lack of history...
I am in my early 40’s and I am coming to the conclusion that I am part of the last generation that was taught to think and explore and consider history when coming to conclusions. Yet, I probably should credit FR more for that than my education.
That is a key component in marxism, if you do not teach historical reality, then it is easy to get the mobs to accept collectivism. If they have no knowledge of Margaret Thatcher, then they have no concept that collectivist evil was ever opposed successfully....
I remember her well, and I remember how as a young adult my confidence in the future of our country grew when I watched Ronaldus Magnus, Margaret Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II leading the world into freedom. So different from today.
I like the Margaret Thatcher quote speaking of wealth and opportunity, because it is that opportunity the Democrats have diminished since they took control of the House and Senate in 2007.
Oddly, I posted The Iron Lady’s eulogy of Reagan on Facebook. The comments lead me to believe that fewer knew of his greatness than hers. It seems there is not enough character in politics in either country to replace one, much less both of them.
