Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer brought momentarily silence, and not the kind that is out of respect, to a Fox News panel on Special Report after National Review columnist Jonah Goldberg said that Obama will not get a vote on the majority of new gun control legislation that he wants. All he wants now is the money, Krauthammer responded.
Several seconds of silence followed Krauthammers, all he wants now is the money comment. It was as if everyone at the table had been caught off guard, including host Chris Wallace.
Wallace finally recovered stating, You dont really mean that.
Hes lost on gun control, Krauthammer responded.
When opposed by stating that he would get expanded background checks, Krauthammer indicated that it is not going to make any difference. He also went on to state that background checks were the last item standing, the smallest item standing. He said its the only one that Obama could possibly get, which I point out would be a huge blow to gun owners and the Second Amendment. Remember, Gun Owners of America and the National Rifle Association openly oppose expansion of background checks. However, as I wrote about here, West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin and the NRA have been engaged in private talks on a proposal to broaden background checks on purchasers of firearms.

He desperately wants the Democrats to control the House and Senate again in 2014 so that he can once again delegate the horrendous dirty deeds he plans to Pelosi and Reid. God help us!
Good points.
A self proclaimed intellectual snob we do not need.
Anybody that believes the information sent for background checks will majically disappear are sorely mistaken.
The background check WILL be the gun registry. I don’t trust ANYBODY in this government as far as I could throw them.
They have proven time and time again they can’t be trusted. Just ask the Tuskegee airmen.
These bastards heads should be on a pike.
Mark Levin does.
That would make a majority of law abiding gun owners into criminals. Of course, that’s exactly the ‘fundamental transformation’ Obama and his ilk want.
I did not say I was in favor of any portion of these proposals including expanding background checks. If the law was such that anyone who did not prosecute the laws on the books, including the use of a firearm during a felony, was guilty of misfeasance and must be removed from office, I would go along with that though.
Whenever a greyhound jumps the fence, there is a stunned silence at the dog race.
“The big miracle for Obama is how his democratic base manages to remain so ignore of their dear leaders behavioral. You would think they would be upset with him for turning down his own proposals when offered.”
Not such a big miracle when you have the entire apparatus of the MSM covering for you and pushing your “spin” and direct deceptions.
Over half of voters get their information from the MSM, when they are paying attention. Of those half, few pay much attention.
In fact, it seems it is a taboo subject on the 'right wing sheeple news'.
Why alert the peons...
” With the current technology, doing background checks can easily turn into a national data base of gun owners”
I’m pretty sure that data base already exists. They want to expand it to cover guns that were purchased before they started keeping track. And the private sales bothers them immensely.
The Democrats might be backing down on the gun control issue, but it is only a temporary hiatus, largely due the mid-term elections coming up.
My guess is that that they will revisit issue the issue, closer to the elections, using the Holmes trial in Colorado to demagogue the issue, without proposing any legislation until after the election, when the Democrats hope to gain more control. Remember, Obama will have nothing to lose after the mid-terms.
Everything that the Democrats are doing right now is aimed at those mid-term elections. As far as the gun control issue is concerned, I predict that Obama will be spending money on the issue in general rather than on specific gun control legislation. The ads will be against gun violence and protecting the children, allowing some of the Democrats in NRA districts to duck the issue.
I think the money Charles was thinking is that Obama still has a campaign pac and with money raised from creating issues, that PAC gets more and more contributions.
I maintain that next manufactured issue made very soon will be allowing more than two presidential terms. “we still have so much work to do”.
Put tinfoil all over my head, but I think we are dealing with a totalitarian who will not be satisfied until he has a lifetime appointment of being the president (ala Chavez etc).
” - - - Krauthammer continues, he is out there now exploring it as an issue. He is not going to get the solution he wanted, so hell make an issue. And thats the way he operates. He does it on immigration. He does it on a lot of stuff. If you cant win on a solution or get your way, you turn it into cash.
He is excellent at turning stuff into cash, he concluded. - - - “

Impeachment File on B. Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro.
He is right. Obama doesn’t care one way or the other. He is just being told what to do by his masters of the great plantation. Obama as well as the others just want to funnel money to themselves and their cronies. Wait until they are on the road to hell. It won’s seem like such a good idea to them.
Background = background check
Roger that. Wallace is a bootlicker masquerading as a conservative when he wants to.
Obama and dems will shake down Hollywood's 'we feel soooooooo much' bunch... They'll cough up millions. (While having armed security teams to cover themselves and their families)
Oh, and the Batman killer?
He passed by 4 or 5 movie theaters to get to the one that was a 'gun free zone'... Killers know where the slaughter is easy... It's why citizen slaughters happen in schools, malls and places that outlaw guns. There's never a slaughter in a place with armed guards... never.
