Last year, Sarah Palin made Marc Lamont Hills list of 15 Most Overrated White People. And then he ran into her at an airport.
Palin was very nice to me and kind to my daughter. Although we disagree on everything politically, I still appreciate that.
After she walked away, I thought about all the things I've said about Palin over the past four years. Wondered if I would've been that nice.

I hate his attitude and his if I talk real fast, I sound so much smarter than you arrogance. You can't sum it up any better than that.
To: Robert DeLong
i would bet all i own he would not have been that nice if palin had said all the same stuff about him.

WE call it class.
Marc, if we have to explain it, you just will never understand.

Well, I’ll give Hill some credit. To my knowledge, that was the nicest thing he ever said.

You got me curious about the image so I did some digging too. The artist now goes by a different name! The story behind the painting knocked my socks off! :o)

This could be turned in to a poster easily.

Okay, great, you tracked him down! I checked his eBay store and the other site where sells his art but didn’t see the Reagan portrait for sale, so I sent him an eBay message asking him where it’s available. I’m definitely going to see about getting a print. I can’t believe I had never seen that portrait before — it’s easily one of the best, in my opinion.
To: smoothsailing
800x1000 pixels. I wonder how big a poster you could make and still have it look sharp? Maybe take it to Kinkos and let them print it on some good paper. OTOH, I’d really like to get an official print from the artist.

Appreciated. Your tagline is fitting to the subject at hand.

With only one or two exceptions,all the conservatives who i meet in public are polite and nice.It's only on the interwebs that they're mean.In the words of Francisco Domingo Carlos Andres Sebastián d'Anconia, "Check your premises," Marc, "you will find that one of them is wrong."

Didn’t Jesus say something about “heaping coals of kindness on those who hate you”....or something like that.

Didnt Jesus say something about heaping coals of kindness on those who hate you....or something like that. Paul in the Epistle to the Romans quoted Proverbs:
Romans 12:20 (NIV)
On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."
Proverbs 25:21-22 (NIV)
If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat;
if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head,
and the Lord will reward you.
