It is exciting sometimes. About 10 years ago I took a group of students to the geophysics office. They told me we sit on the convergence of three tectonic plates and that we have an average of about 50 ‘quakes per day. We don’t feel even one quake per day. So, there is a bit of movement that is too small for humans to register.

I have an earthquake app on my cell phone. It paints a circle around the epicenter that is proportional to the size of the quake. Your recent one is currently rated 7.0. Still a big quake. Take care.

Glad you’re okay. I did some work at the Freeport Gold & Copper mine years ago, amazing country. Hope the mine fared okay - they weren’t too concerned to engineer some of it for large earthquakes.
