FBI Visits Petraeus' Home, Sources Tell NBC News

Pete Williams and M. Alex Johnson

FBI agents visited the home of former CIA director David Petraeus on Friday, two sources with knowledge of their visit told NBC News.

USA Today reported Friday that the agents went there to "interview" Petraeus, but it's unclear whether he was at his home in suburban Washington. Officials said the visit didn't indicate any new development in the FBI's months-long investigation into allegations that writer Paula Broadwell improperly received or stored classified documents while she was working on Petraeus' biography.

It failed. All he did was throw our support behind the stronger side of the civil war, and declare victory. His COIN never worked.
It nnever worked in Afghanistan either. The minute we leave, it will return to the hellhole it has always been. It’s a sick fantasy that we are winning hearts and minds over there.

In WWII Petraeus was the kind of General we cashed in wholesale right after Pearl Harbor. An academic who got the ear of the power brokers.

They only learn how to play us for their purposes. Witness the “arab spring”.

Lol. Serious? Use a military dictator to replace the current puppet? Lol. Thanks for the laugh.

We’re in the middle of a Marxist coup right now.

Enough said. Good night.

BS,, A dictator like that seizes power because they cannot win it. Then they cannot stand for elections lest the ones they deposed win, and return to power. So they hold farce votes,,if any. Opposition must be suppressed,,etc.

There is no shortcut. There is no dictatorship “superweapon” that can save things.

Agent Provacateurs. I am wary of someone who comes in suggesting a dictator as a way to fix things. It’s unAmerican.

It worked? If you call getting a lot of Americans dead when they didn’t need to be. Also, you have to look at the long-term outcome of his policies. Both Iraq and Afghanistan are turning out to be disasters.

I don’t believe in nation building and I don’t believe in sending our people into foreign countries with restrictive Rules of Engagement just to be sitting ducks for IEDs, suicide bombings, green-green instant jihad syndrome attacks, and random sniping. If we go to war, we should go to win. We should bomb them senseless using what everything we have in our inventory. We should use overwhelming firepower and we should destroy the opposition. Special forces such as the Green Beret and civic action units can do some of what Petreus was always pushing, but our main forces are for destroying the enemy, not making friends. If we are not going to fight to win, we should just stay home. Also, we should not commit our main forces again unless we have a formal declaration of war. I am sick and tired of half-a**ed military interventions. Short of declared war, we have fantastic special forces that can handle the low-level, under the table stuff.

Why so much scrutiny for Petraeus and so little for comrade obama?

Petraeus has described himself as a “Rockefeller Republican.”

That was when I dismissed him as a presidential candidate.

You are calling for a military coup to over throw our constitutional government?

Are you calling our current regime a constitutional government?

But it’s ok for the magic negro and his minions to release classified info to movie producers if they are making a flattering movie about the Marxist turd?

My old boss used to go on about what he’d do if he
were king.

I told him if it ever looked like he was going to
be king, I’d shoot him myself on the spot.

It’s enough to make you think high government officials, with the director of the CIA most likely, may be promoted precisely because of their vulnerability to blackmail. But the trick with that, of course, is you can’t push that threat too far or they may just speak out anyway. In that case, you presumably have the material to discredit them, and ‘accidents’ do seem to happen.

A Pinochet would be temporary and could then return us to the Constitution.

Unfortunately, for every Sulla, there is a Marius.
