The U.S. Census Bureau puts the number of Americans in poverty at levels not seen since the mid-1960s when President Lyndon B. Johnson launched the federal governments so-called War on Poverty. As President Barack Obama began his second term in January, nearly 50 million Americans one in six were living below the income line that defines poverty, according to the bureau. A family of four that earns less than $23,021 a year is listed as living in poverty. The bureau said 20 percent of the countrys children are poor.

A lot of those children should be living in poverty in Mexico, Ecuador or Guatemala.
It’s utterly amazing ....
Libtards love Obama - but they hate his policies, they don’t like the direction the country is going, they don’t like the unemployment, they don’t like the increase in taxes, they don’t like decreases in what the Gov’t can give. They don’t like the fact that the economists are telling them that things are not going to get better any time soon.
Libtards just cannot seem to connect Obama’s policies - to Obama.
Well all the problems are due to Bush.....
Maybe it is time for 0bama to announce a surge in the war on Poverty.
Unexpected!
You missed it, he did, in 2009. Then had Bernanke and Geithner create 40 cents in Obamabucks for every dollar in tax receipts. Spent it on entitlements and purchased the 2012 election.
In the late 1970's, I thought if I could ever make $24k per year I'd be living like a king. The Fed's inflationary policy has destroyed us.
But...but...socialism will work if we just give it a chance!!!
It is because for twenty years we have been EXPORTING JOBS.
(duh)
Bring back US jobs now.
We declared war on poverty and poverty won.
I remember a cartoon from the LBJ days.
A hillbilly woman says to her lazy husband: “Paw, it says in the paper that the president has declared war on poverty!”
Lazy Husband: “Well, if the President wants me to join he’s a gonna have to draft me!”
I guess we lost Lyndon Johnson’s famous “War on Poverty.” Can we surrender now?
It’s a quagmire. Time to pull out.
I sense a gross Poverty of Spirit these days.
On the other hand, Wall Street is boomin’. I hear about it everyday from the “media”. The DemocRATS are in 7th Heaven over it. They seem to think that a boomin’ Wall Street is the sign of a boomin’ economy and a boomin’ America. Barry B kickin’ butt.
What’s really apparent, is that we’re morally bankrupt as a nation. It shows the most in political speech. When the remainder of the process is said and done, many will probably get what they deserve.
Impeachment File on B. Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro.
You really only need about 10 feet of rope pre p-erson.
“pre p-erson.” = “per person.”
