Bill OReilly tonight responded to criticisms from the right over his commentary last week that gay marriage opponents need to do more than just thump the Bible if they want to win the argument. After a Talking Points Memo largely focused on mocking liberal media attempts to gin up a feud between himself and Rush Limbaugh, OReilly brought on Laura Ingraham, who actually told OReilly he was wrong in saying what he said. OReilly was stunned with Ingraham, shouting over her and telling her Im disappointed in you.

Ingraham first surprised OReilly by agreeing that there actually is a feud of sorts going on between him and people like Limbaugh, given Limbaughs harsh condemnation of OReillys commentary. OReilly dismissed the idea he and Limbaugh are enemies, saying I dont care what he says, he can say whatever he wants.
Ingraham agreed with OReilly that gay marriage opponents are not always good at making their case, but said OReilly unnecessarily insulted them. OReilly insisted he made an honest point about gay marriage, and shocked Ingraham by saying that opponents cannot cite the Bible in a policy argument. Ingraham told OReilly he was being disrespectful, which led OReilly to tell Ingraham hes disappointed in her.
OReilly scolded her for criticizing her for his accurate description, saying he doesnt really care whether it was unhelpful or if anyone took offense, it was an accurate and honest attack.

So I guess we’ll never see Stossel on BOR again. Stossel said “ how can you have such a large body and such a small brain” to him in frustration to his nonsense
"I KNOW BUT ONE CODE OF MORALITY FOR MEN WHETHER ACTING SINGLY OR COLLECTIVELY"
--Thomas Jefferson
Hah, just went to Youtube to check out that clip of O’Reilly. What an ass. It’s amazing to see how much this talking head stuff is nothing but acting. One second he’s cursing like a sailor and the next he’s smiling like he just got full service at the local massage parlor.
I get more than enough information by reading Drudge, FR, Lucianne and skimming various articles.
I do miss the long legged, good looking TV news gals that permeate FOX.

One thing that you notice about this issue is that the proponents of same-sex marriage are so angry about it.
We are sadly a very, very badly divided country.
Maybe BOR is SHOCKED at the sucess of the recent “Bible” miniseries on the History Channel.
When someone complains about “Bible thumpers” or “thumping the Bible”,
what they’re really saying is that they reject the authority of God’s Word in establishing the standard of right and wrong.
Once that is clarified, their “sound bite” has to be defended. They can be asked to clearly state what they use as a standard for right and wrong, and why that standard is superior to any other arbitrary standard ever used throughout history.

Just like the character Andy Griffith played in the movie, "A Face In The Crowd", the down-home, defender-of-the-folks secretly despises the audience he works so hard to convince he's one of.
O'Reilly is your typical elitist know-it-all who has to re-inform us from time to time that he attended "Hahhhhvahd" as if somehow we are supposed to be impressed by that.
If it weren't for Bible thumpers, this country wouldn't even exist.
In fact, O'Reilly's beloved Alma Mater, Harvard was founded by a man who saw the college as a way to prepare people to spread The Gospel around the world.

Ted Baxter strikes again. He loves to believe he is in El Rushbo’s league
Without repeating myself:) watch O’Reily’s reaction to what is being said, not the guest’s reaction. If you hit a nerve with O’Reily you need to be able to read him and know when he’s telling you to back off. It’s usually pretty obvious.
Assuming you are anti-gay marriage, then yes you are part of the “we” and “we” are getting our clocks cleaned. We’re losing elections, public opinion and (soon enough) SCOTUS decisions. Quite frankly, I don’t think those in favor of traditional marriage have made a good argument to most Americans. O’Reilly is a windbag, but he’s right... you can’t simply quote Bible verses and expect to win in 2013 America.
You miss the point completely. If you are unwilling to agree that some “religious people” are completely over the top, then you are blind to reality. And it is by no means limited to Christians. There are, in my opinion, any number of “so-called Christians,” who border on being nut cases. Normal folks who are Christians simply don’t behave the way that they do. They have Christian values but weave those values into a normal lifestyle. At the extreme, some of these people become willing dupes for the Jim Jones of the world and a tragedy occurs. As for threatening to ban me for my thoughts, that’s just nuts too. There was nothing disrespectful about my post. I was simply stating my views. I don’t agree with or like some of what others post here, but I defend their right to their opinion. You should too. BTW I also think Laura Ingram would have eaten BOR’s lunch if she had chosen to do so. She evidently was 1) too much of a lady to respond in kind and/or 2) sees her continuing work on FNC as more important to her long-term goals than testing her contract on the air.
That's because, according to Gawker, he is waging a scorched-earth destruction of the mother of his children right now. According to Gawker, he is putting his children through a nasty custody suit, is applying for an annulment of the marriage they were born into, and at the same time is trying to get his former wife excommunicated for having remarried. He also pays the woman appointed by the courts to be a neutral party for the kids 6 figures to work for him directly -- such ethics! Such a nice guy! Don't get me started on his smug boasts about the current book his ghostwriter is working on -- "Killing Jesus." Those poor kids.
You’re a good guy I see but Jim Jones was no Christian
And should not be equated with fundamentalism or scripture literalism
Who are....yes...opposed to sanctioned faggotry
By my count, last time I checked that number is ZERO.
