GOP Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois said Tuesday he supports same-sex marriage, becoming the second sitting Republican senator to make such an announcement in recent weeks.

There was no one else to marry, if you think about it. But you have to take into account the newness of the creation at that point. The genetic line was very pure. The prohibition against incest wasn't handed down until Leviticus, when inbreeding became a problem.

At the time their genetic codes were considered perfect enough that intercourse with close relatives did not produce the abnormalities seen later in history.

I think that some of our fellow freepers are delusional in their expectations. I think I’m detecting the emergence of yet another cycle of “let’s all be 100% pure and thereby help elect more Democrats”. And I have been so hoping that 2014 would see Republicans expand their majority in the US House and seize control of the Senate from the Democrats. And continue to expand the number of true conservatives among our Republican representatives and Senators.
I think Rush needs to expand his campaign of outreach to the low-information voter to include a campaign of education & enlightenment of the “low-savvy” conservative/libertarian.
We’re in a struggle to save the Republic folks. Let’s not start yet again to begin shooting ourselves in our feet and knees and to begin cutting off our fingers and bleeding ourselves.

The definition of “sin” is, a violation of God’s Law.
During a period of time such as with the very first of God’s Creation, if God did not have a law against procreation by members of the same family, then it was not a sin.
Under different conditions at another time, if God in his Wisdom had a law against such, then it would become sinful at that point to do it.
Again, sin is a violation of God’s law. If no law of God, then no sin.
If a law of God, then violation is sin.
We actually had a Reaganesque conservative Republican in that seat before Obama (Peter Fitzgerald, served 1999-2005), but Kirkbots have convinced naive conservatives that socialist RINO Mark Kirk is "the best we can get in that state"

It’s unfortunate that you won’t be joining with those of us who are trying to get more conservatives elected to Congress—particularly the Senate; while at the same time trying to avoid stupidities that lead to the election of Democrats where we cannot elect a conservative.

The last thing I’m doing is endorsing same-sex marriage. But if I have to choose between have a Republican Senator who supports that and a Democrat Senator who supports it, I’d choose the Republican EVERYTIME.
That’s exactly my point. I don’t have to choose either. And if the GOP decides to call two men messing with each other’s filthy anal areas “marriage”, I’ve voted “R” for the last time.
Besides, don’t kid yourself. If you vote for a candidate whose party openly supports queer marriage, you ARE endorsing it.
I put fiscal issues up front but needless to say, RINO’s are also fiscally liberal because they refuse to take quick action to balance the budget.
Kirk is one of the business as usual crowd that puts a finger in the wind to change his position to fit what he thinks is the best position to insure his re-election.
He will try to create emotional wedges to keep conservative voters in his camp outside of the gay marriage issue.
Avoid emotional wedges that are used to fake out conservatives to support RINO’s.

Good answer and very true. If it was only Adam & Eve, and then Cain killed Abel... who else would have procreated if not for siblings, cousins, etc. As you said, the initial genetic line was very pure from the original creation, and God commanded Adam to be fruitful & multiply. By the time Leviticus chapter 20 came along with it’s prohibitions on homosexuality (and equating it with bestiality & incest), there would have been no reason for incest to continue, and in fact was punishable by death.
