Greeneyes, I vote you ring up the gardener ping list too! (I’m alerting the Agenda 21 list.) Other gardeners and freedom lovers need to read this story. It isn’t (IMHO) just another “oops” story. The ptb really DO want to control all the food sources.

bgill, I usually don’t ping the garden list more than once a week, but will make an exception for this. While there is much talk on this thread about no probable cause etc.,I think it is important to realise that the laws passed to declare the “war on drugs” did curtail individual rights to a degree.
I had a little experience with a drug task force. They followed a handy-man all the way from St. Louis to my house. He lives in our county, and his girlfriend’s house is just down the road from us.
The person helping me care for my dad was at my house, and had contacted this person regarding some work she wanted done at her house, and he said he would stop by and discuss it with her when he got back into town.
I was on the computer when a polite police man knocked on the patio door, and asked if he could come in and look around. He later explained that they had followed a suspected drug dealer to my house, who had precursors for meth in his vehicle. He looked around the basement briefly and we headed upstairs.
My front room and kitchen was swarming with cops as was the yard. There was a lot of tense moments and disrespectful treatment from the guys outdoors.
Anyway long story short after about 4 hours of them grilling the nurse’s aide and this guy. They confiscated his matches which he had bought for wedding favors(his story) and told us we might be called to testify.
What did they base their raid on? They followed a guy who bought a bunch of matches to our driveway, and he knew my Hubby’s name(Hubby taught school and it’s a small town).
A neighbor who used to be a reserve cop, told us that they don’t have to have a warrent when suspicion is related to drugs. This was important to know, because even his wife thought that they couldn’t have swarmed the house with out some evidence.
I told the rudest guy there, that I thought a few manners would yield better results when dealing with law - abiding citizens, and we had a little tense discussion about it before he left.
Anyone can be labeled a suspected drug dealer, or terrorist based on little or no evidence, and forget the 4th amendment-that’s where we are at today. It is a sad state of affairs.
