The executive order will direct the commission to produce a report for Obama within six months of its first public meeting, principal deputy press secretary Josh Earnest said. The panel will be tasked with considering "a variety of ways to shorten lines and promote the efficient conduct of elections" and its findings will be "intended to serve as a best practices guide for state and local election officials to improve voters' experience at the polls under their existing election laws."

Voting and owning a firearm are both Constitutional rights.

Voting is candidly more dangerous than owning a gun. Certainly more have died by by political decisions than crazies with firearms.

Only logical to require the same waiting periods and background checks.

The panel will have a staff, including an executive director, and the General Services Administration will provide administrative services, equipment and other support. A White House official had no other information to provide about who will serve on the commission or its staff.

So how much will all their salaries be? And I guess they will all have lifetime pensions?
