The shootings of a Brunswick mother and her 1-year-old son last week in which the boy was killed were random, Glynn County Police Chief Matt Doering said at a news conference Wednesday.
De'Marquise Elkins, 17, and Dominique Lang, 15, were each indicted Wednesday on a count of first-degree murder in the killing of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago.
Doering said it had been a judgment call about releasing the information that the location and victims of the shootings were random, but he said investigators are now comfortable in revealing that.

Anytime anyone shoots a baby in the face, it is a hate crime. Nothing to do with pigmentation.
So because some are/were suspicious of the mother, they are “conspiracy nuts”.
Seems nutty to me to not even at least look at her and say “something is amiss here”
If someone could look at all she’s done and still say nothing is strange, then they are the nutcases, not people who actually try to look at ALL the angles
of the case.
It was initially a robbery. Black Momma’s got no money, maybe an EBT card....But even if she did hand over some money, the kid gets shot either way.
Uh oh. Didn’t know that, but I smelled it after I saw a video of her.
(imho) any crime no matter the pigmentation of the skin of the perp; that perp who accentuated or perpetrated a crime committed a crime. All crime (imho) is founded in hate of one sort or another. Always thought hate crime laws were laws which failed to address the criminal activity of the perp perpetrating the crime rather was an excuse and utilized by defense attorneys to explain toward an exoneration rather than conviction by placing forward an excuse. The law itself, as having been applied, has spoken of its initial purpose (imho). Legislators and legislation enacted by legislators normally has a negative result rather than a positive result. Some of the negative results are by design, it does appear. Prime example will be and is obamacare.
Well, she may have colluded with someone else who sent the shooters.
Look at the caption.
He publicly posts his intent to murder someone in the street, then does it.
Yes, because IF there were any justice, we would have to fry him twice.
I don't think they really want hate-crime legislation; I think they resent the obvious hypocrisy when a crime is black-on-white but is never found to be a hate crime.
Odd how they're sooooooo brave about shooting up babies ... yeah, we're soooooo impressed.
Thanks for the Ping.
Yeah, he's a real national treasure. /sarc
Yep, the black professors of hip-hop music was just casually wandering around when a baby carriage tripped the trigger on their hood glock and kilt the white baby.
Tragic but understandable.

In the indictment today he was also charged with the robbery and shooting of an Hispanic man on 3-11 using a .22. Baby Antonio shot in the head with a .22. This sounds like he was targeting Hispanics....
Sounds to me like they’ve got a good ballistics match on the gun that they found in the pond.
When the police have made four arrests, 2 perps and 2 alibi-fabricators, and none has so much as hinted that anyone else was involved or engaged them to shoot this infant, it would appear that there is no 3rd party perpetrator, would it not?
As to the mother’s behavior, when you watch Drew get shot in the face, do come back here and show us how to behave appropriately. In the meanwhile, thank GOD you haven’t walked a mile in her shoes.
All those people weren’t arrested for the shooting/murder. Only 2 were. So the aunts/moms wouldn’t know necessarily would they?
i can promise you this. They might shoot my child in the face, but it’d only be after I was dead. I wouldn’t have the presence of mind to plan a memorial hours later, have him cremated, ask about a life insurance policy, bleach my hair, etc etc....
HOWEVER, her behavior could be attributed to other things, such as drugs. I understand that.
And, as I have said, I didn’t watch the video days later, and her body language didn’t convince me she being deceitful.
But, it’s interesting to me, the whole thing is...
