A server at Buffalo Wild Wings reportedly refused to serve eight police officers, because they had their weapons displayed.
The Prince William County Police officers were on-duty, but were in plain clothes, reports the Manassas Patch. They were refused service by an employee who stated that the property was a gun-free establishment.
The officers had their badges displayed but still weren't served.
Scott Lupton, the general manager of the Manassas Buffalo Wild Wings location says the incident was a "huge misunderstanding." Lupton wrote an email to the police department to apologize on behalf of the business.
Lupton wasn't there during the incident, but was brought up to speed the next day after returning to work.

Sometimes the ‘help’ you hire is just to stoopid oo operate functionally in a society.
Much like the (White) idiot that would use the perfectly good term ‘Niggardly’ but the fact that he is addressing a ‘Black Panther’ convention doesn’t necessarily make it a ‘good thing’. You can be right. You can also be Dead Right.
Few years back one of the establishments I frequented in the Alexandria VA area joined the ‘bandwagon’ on banning ‘gang colors’ etc and when one of the ‘bright young greeters’ asked what were ‘gang colors’ she was told just to pay attention and it basically referred to uniforms or groups of people dressed uniformly.
Dontcha know, couple days later a Young USN LTJG and his date arrived at the restaurant and was immediately turned away because he was in uniform. I (as most of us bar flies) knew the owner(s) and got to one before the ‘offending’ customers departed but the girl stood her ground -
You said NO uniforms. That is a uniform.
How can one ‘argue’ with logic?????
Like the MacDonalds cashier got fired for changing a 200 dollar bill....with the explanation “YOU told me not to bother YOU anymore with stupid questions, just give the guy change” — which had been conveyed to her when someone presented a couple of 2 dollar bills to her.
Thanks for the link Megan.
I had no idea so many were anti-gun.
I Also hear the UMC was pro Illegal Immigrant.
So I trust your kids don't have too many McD's Toys? ^.^ lol
By choice. Virginia law does not prohibit carrying firearms open or concealed (with permit) in restaurants even those selling alcoholic beverages. The only prohibition is that the firearms holder not order a drink themselves.
Thanks. Guess no more bdubs for me.
I’ll just have to suffer through hooters wings.
