Rick Scott 'deeply disappointed,' demands investigation
Floridas governor is jumping into the national controversy over a college professor who forced students to stomp on the name of Jesus, and hes now calling for an official investigation into the matter.
Republican Rick Scott has written a letter to Frank Brogan, chancellor of the states university system, saying, I am deeply disappointed in the recent action of Florida Atlantic University faculty that raises significant questions over students rights and the lessons being taught in our classrooms.
As we enter the week memorializing the events of Christs passion, this incident gave me great concern over the lessons we are teaching our students, Scott continued. The professors lesson was offensive, and even intolerant, to Christians and those of all faiths who deserve to be respected as Americans entitled to religious freedom.
As WND previously reported, the professor who gave the assignment, Deandre Poole, turns out also to be the vice-chairman of the Palm Beach County Democratic Party.
Poole ignited outrage across the U.S. for requiring students to write Jesus on a piece of paper, then put it on the floor and stomp on it.
But Ryan Rotela, a junior from Coral Springs, Fla., said while some of his classmates complied with the assignment, he refused.
Anytime you stomp on something it shows that you believe that something has no value. So if you were to stomp on the word Jesus, it says that the word has no value, he told the local CBS TV affiliate WPEC.
A religious Mormon who attends church every Sunday, Rotela complained to school officials.......

There you guys go aGAIN!!
ISM!
ISM!!
ISM!!!
You ought see the things that get said about the followers of ISLAM!
It tells me that some folks have not read up on this newsworthy story before they post their 'knowledge' of the event.
What have you against ISLAM?
Naaahh.
That’s just a look of righteous indignation most leftists display when they learn somebody, somewhere, is having a good time.
Oh I do ... everyday. It’s just that I’m so tired of Christ being constantly attacked. He did nothing but good, and He is treated so despicably.
I think we were talking about the “professor’s” church’s website.
The electronics repair field. I am the only “real” technician at our shop, and the others are screeners and “first level techs”, meaning they do not have the ability to do any component level repair, as I do most of that. The average age is about 25. NONE of them are Christians, most have no morals. One is dike who is “proud to be gay” and makes SURE people like me know it!! The others are likewise morally empty. And they ALL like her!!
Folks STILL do this stuff??
NONE of the 'electronics' that I have in my house are WORTH being repaired. Much cheaper to buy something new.
I, too, was in same field for 25 years, working for the US Navy. I prided myself at fixing things at the component level and figuring out WHY the circuits failed to perform as designed.
I worked alongside another guy who would pinpoint(?) the trouble to a general area of the circuit; replace ALL the parts in it, and have HIS unit working before I had completely analyzed mine's problem.
Used to drive me NUTS when he did that!
You are BLESSED!
Such a field white for harvest before you!!
But they are all pretty much UNREACHABLE!In a little over 3 years of working there, I have been able to influence only 2 people for the better. One has TOTALLY changed for the better—the other one , at 24 years old, got a much better job, is making more than I am, an STILL has totally pagan beliefs...I feel like I “failed him” in that regard. Sure—he did change his life for the better, and no longer lives a destructive lifestyle, (which almost KILLED him), thanks in part to my “mentoring”...but he will NOT accept that the Lord gave him “another chance” nor give him credit for all of the positive changes in his life...but I tried...and continue to try with him every chance I get.
Hang in there, Brother.
Do not grow weary in well-doing.
I think, and PRAY,my time there is about up. I have other things I want to do with my life, and being in the “lion’s den” of immorality every day is NOT helpful to me emotionally.
But..whatever the Lord decides, I guess.
Remember ESTHER!
Looks pretty MUZZIE to me???
