In the last batch of amendment votes to the budget, the Senate voted on several foreign policy proposals.
Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) introduced an amendment that would prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty in order to uphold the Second Amendment. His amendment passed on a 53-46 vote.
Republicans have been critical of President Obamas decision to consider the treaty, although Obama has said he would not vote for anything that would violate the Second Amendment.
The U.N. Arms Trade Treaty would regulate international arms sales. Negotiations end on March 28.
Were negotiating a treaty that cedes our authority to have trade agreements with our allies in terms of trading arms, Inhofe said. This is probably the last time this year that youll be able to vote for your Second Amendment rights.

We want the names of the 46 who do not believe in the Bill of Rights.
bump!
That's reassuring.
Laz, you are still thinking of this in the “yay we won this one” paradigm.
There are FORTY-SIX bags of fluid and electrolytes who have been ELECTED to the United States Senate, five short of a majority, who are enemies of the United States and who purpose her destruction.
THIS is a huge problem, bigger than whether or not this stupid treaty is ever ratified.
Is this the budget that raises taxes and doesn’t cut spending? Now they can vote to raise taxes, and kill the U.N. treaty. Or they can vote to kill the ridiculous budget proposal, and be accused of not opposing the U.N. treaty.
I guess they think that throwing us a bone will make us feel better?
The majority are still traitors in my book. Nothing but sacks of puss.
Here’s the list...

I’m not warm and fuzzy with this one.
It’s not a treaty ratification vote per se. It is an amendment to the budget that they know will fail in the house.
This is window dressing and cover for the likes of Mark Pryor of Arkansas who hopes to hide behind this vote while staying in lockstep with Reid and Obama on every issue that counts.
Trust and Congress do not go hand in hand.
Thanks for the list. Note how many Senior Senators are on the Nay list.

Took the words right out of my mouth.
Who would'a thought - but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth!
So glad I live in a conservative state. Mark Begich Dem Ak voted with honor, thank you Begich. I now almost forgive you for photo radar back in the 90s.
The 46 traitors should be given a fair trial then shot for breaking their oath to defend the US Constitution and their outright treason.
The order in whch those actions take place is not important.
This won’t prevent Obama from signing a treaty, it would go back to the Senate to ratify needing 21 more votes.
WAIT!!!
You guys KEEP TELLING us there is NO DIFFERENCE in the parties. What is happening here? Are we being lied to? Manipulated?
