Secretary of State John Kerry, in a first-ever statement from his office on the case of imprisoned Iranian-American Saeed Abedini, called Friday for Abedini to be immediately released and said he is disturbed by reports that hes suffered physical and psychological abuse at the Iranian prison where hes being held.

Ewee, that’s serious coming from modern USG and its agents...
Wow. A statement. That’ll have them quaking in their boots.
C’mon Kerry. Show them how serious we are. Take out an oil platform.
I don’t like Kerry, but if he can get Pastor Saeed released, I’ll take my hat off to him. This is not a democratic or republican issue, it is an American Christian suffering in Iran for his faith.
Id not be surprised to see him released.....just to make obama look good.
Ahmadinejhad is reported to have hurt his back when he fell out of his chair laughing.
I say we make a trade. Abedini for Obama and Reid. Two for the price of one. We’ll throw Pelosi in to show how sincere we are.
They should have done this YEARS ago.
Can we throw in Valerie Jarrett too? Since she was born there, they might want her back, LOL.
If John the Traitor Kerry pulls this off and actually does more I may have to leave traitor off his name.
Absolutely LOL!
They can have Hillary Michelle and Fluke too.
never
Notice how circumspect Kerry is: he said he was “disturbed by reports”, NOT that he believes the reports.
He does go on to say, though, that the best outcome would be that Abedini is “immediately released”.Of course that would be the best thing, but
with this, they’ve got the Obama Administration between “Iran and a hard place”. That’s probably exactly what the Abedini issue was designed to be in the first place.
Let’s see just how far “diplomacy” goes in both freeing
Abedini, and whether that’s used as a bargaining chip in Obama aiding and abetting the continuation of nuclear development, by playing out the “conversation”indefinitely while letting the Iranians continuing on developing their nuclear capability.
Seeing as how Kerry served in Vietnam, I bet Iran is pi$$ing in their pants.
Or else what?
Once again I salute this outstanding officer's almost maidenly modesty. You will notice that he did not, NOT I say, award himself the Congressional Medal of Honor, richly deserved as I am sure he thinks it was.
Hopefully, our CIC will correct this oversight!
He was awarded some secretive actions after his negotiations with the North Viet Mamese in Paris. Some of the records were leaked though.
Did Kerry tell the Iranians he had a bunch of medals from Vietnam and, as soon as he gets back from the hostage pickup, he plans to get permission from Obama to search the White House grounds for them?
