Permit me to suggest that my former commanding Officer on the Christmas Eve Mission to swim up the Mekong River to take out a nest of NAZI spies at the orders of soon-to-be President Nixon award himself the Croix de Guerre avec Palme for this perilous letter-writing exploit. If he sustained a paper cut, he deserves yet another Purple Heart. I am sure he has the forms in his desk.
Once again I salute this outstanding officer's almost maidenly modesty. You will notice that he did not, NOT I say, award himself the Congressional Medal of Honor, richly deserved as I am sure he thinks it was.
