An acquaintance’s boyfriend suggested mandatory post-secondary “indoctrination” of 2 years, by which he meant Socialist indoctrination.
I asked if the Re-Education Camps would involve barbed wire.
I should have agreed, so long as I got to design the curriculum.

I think we have to accept that half of the county is very happy to have communism. They believe that crime is lower, that they are safer and well fed- and they really do not care about spirituality, or anyone’s rights. They want to be fed and told they are safe. I have friends who are happy to be communists. They do not understand my problem with it.
It’s easy to be communists here. Try it in a real communist country!

Daren Briscoe, the acting press secretary for the Department of Education says in a statement:
"The Kids' Zone website hosted by the National Center of Education Statistics earlier today featured a poorly chosen quote, intended to highlight the importance of teaching and learning, in the 'Quote of the Day' feature. This feature, which automatically generates one education-related quote per day from a database of quotes last updated in 2007, has been temporarily suspended pending a review of the database's contents."
There are some of us involved in our schools. But there are so many parents that drop off their kids and don’t care what goes on during those hours they are in school.
I want to see the number of page hits for this site. It’s a good candidate for budget cuts I expect.
