Bob B. almost got it right.

In 1973 the BUFF crew was six men, five officers and an enlisted gunner.

Was there, have the T-shirt, and still go to the wall every December for my friends that will never grow old.

Rose 1, 56-0608, was a B-52D shot down on 19 December 1972, crew of six:

Capt Hal Wilson Pilot
Capt Charles Brown Co-Pilot
Maj Fernando Alexander R/Nav
Capt Richard Cooper Nav
Capt Henry Barrows EWO
TSgt Charlie Poole Gunner

Available reports indicate that Cooper and Poole were both killed and the remaining four were taken prisoner.
