Fox News' co-host of "The Five" Bob Beckel has called on CBS to apologize for an episode of "The Amazing Race set in Hanoi, Vietnam.
In the episode, contestants go to a B-52 Memorial, which is the wreckage of an American bomber plane shot down during the Vietnam War, to find the next clue in their televised round-the-world journey.
"Do you realize, CBS, there were four Americans that went down with that plane?" Beckel said on "The Five" Thursday. "Two of them died."

Good on Bob. For once.
@PhilKeoghan
is the Host co-executive producer. He did not respond Sunday to tweets. We must tweet him Sunday 8pm EDT.
He introduced the segments. I think he tweets during ever episode. #CBSApologize
This vet will not believe any excuse, nor will I accept any apology.
Ugh.
.
I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Even creepier was the “show” that the contestants had to sit through to get a clue - it sang about the goodness of communism.
Definitely
“that the contestants had to sit through to get a clue “
Like the show mostly for the scenery and places they go...
However, I think some of the contestants are.....clueless....
Well, Bob, you are right on this one, but I seem to recall another recent incident in which four americans, all four of them, died, and no one seems to give a damn about it.
Bob Beckel had a word for CBS yesterday The C was for Communist, but I forgot what he said the BS was for
TS
But I doubt they knew the words. CBS placed the glorious translation on the screen for our edification in post production.
And they replayed the song at the end. What does New Zealander Phil Keoghan think?
Back in the 1980's, one of the big networks presented a documentary on the Vietnam War. When they showed some North Vietnamese soldiers, the commentator crowed, "these are the men who defeated America"--whereupon I almost smashed my TV.
Mr. Beckel is so behind the times! He has in this instance understood the unique propaganda of this situation but he continues to ignore the other much more obvious things. He is such a hypocrite. Seems to either be an obvious trait of Democrats or just another of those consequences.
He is either a Democrat regardless of his actual beliefs or he is a dishonorable person who will do whatever his party thinks he should do. I vote for the latter. Seems to be a trait of Democrats these days - do what the party wants, forget about what you might believe.
In 1973 the BUFF crew was six men, five officers and an enlisted gunner.
Was there, have the T-shirt, and still go to the wall every December for my friends that will never grow old.
He called them Communist Bast#@d Sympathizers. Which is what Bob has been for years.
Good. The men who defeated America were in the American media. Militarily, the North got it's butt kicked in the Tet offensive.
I lost a cousin who was shot down and killed over Vietnam in 1968. I found this show totaly outrageous and a slap to every American that served over there and every family that lost love ones there, Seeing that B52 wreckage made me sick.
I am done with that show I will never watch it again.
I don’t like Beckel, but you are ridiculous. *rme*
Yeah, I think that what it was. Thanks
Yes, that is what it was.
