Brunswick, Georgia (CNN) -- Two teenagers were arrested Friday in the shooting death of a 13-month-old boy who was in his stroller, according to police in Brunswick, Georgia.
The suspects are a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, Police Chief Tobe Green told reporters Friday. He said they are being held on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Green identified the older suspect as Demarquis Elkins, saying he will be treated as an adult in criminal proceedings. The 14-year-old was not identified because of his age.
"We are turning every stone to get a motive," said Green. A weapon has not been found.
Police offered a $10,000 reward for information and have received more than 30 leads.
Sherry West earlier told reporters that the incident occurred at 9 a.m. Thursday as she was walking home from the post office, pushing her son Antonio in a stroller. She said she saw two boys.
"A boy approached me and told me he wanted my money, and I told him I didn't have any money," she said. "And he said, 'Give me your money or I'm going to kill you and I'm going to shoot your baby and kill your baby,' and I said, "I don't have any money and don't kill my baby." The boy tried to grab her purse and opened fire when she said tried to tell him she had no money, West said, grazing her head. She said the boy then shot her in the leg.
She continued, "And then, all of a sudden, he walked over and he shot my baby in the face."

17 and 14....can’t fry either of them.However,it’s my understanding that child murderers tend to do very poorly in prison.
And thank God for such men (and women) because they opened up the West for this country.
Not to preach, but we forget about the real heroes who built this country...people from all races and walks of life.
They answered the call of the wild...and they risked all and then some.
And we stand in gratitude (or at least we should) for all that they have done.
It is due to these heroes that America is great. Certainly the stable fathers and mothers deserve their due also.
That said, I think America is on life support...the liberals have taken over.
Those of us who are devoted to God (as some have suggested, the lost tribes of Israel...the Sons of Ephraim) are still fighting the winning battle.
We and Israel will come together to fight the forces of Satan (the Liberals, the secular humanists, the muslims) in one final battle called Armageddon.

You are absolutely correct. Look at all the trouble the prosecution is going to, with lack of evidence of wrong-doing, to convict George Zimmerman. George did not want to shoot, but only did so in order to survive.
Now this black trash punk shot several times at the white mom, nicking her ear and hitting her in the leg above her knee. Then while she begs for her baby's life, the black punk pushes her away from the baby and shoots the baby right in the face.
We all know the prosecution will make excuses not to convict this evil black punk, who will get a slap on the wrist for being black in a crime on a white.
Not many of the heroes of westerns were actual cowboys. They were lawmen, ranchers, farmers, and whatnot. Plenty of open spaces horseback and starlight back in those days no matter what you did for a living. Myself I have bucked roped and ridden, hunted farmed and fished. I knew a few genuine cattle drive cowboys. One still down in Argentina, far as I know. Gave me my first pocket knife.

While i don’t disagree with you at all, what kind of upbringing did these kids (and they are kids) have to make them do something despicable like this? So is this a hate crime folks?...Will the media report it that way or will they sympathize at the poor lost youths and their futures?
