DENVER No sooner had Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper signed three gun-control bills into law Wednesday than the economic backlash began.
Magpul Industries confirmed that it would make good on its vow to leave Colorado if the governor signed the bill to limit ammunition-magazine capacity. The Erie-based company said on its Facebook page that it will start its transition almost immediately.
Magpul manufactures polymer firearms accessories, including ammunition magazines, employs about 200 people and supports another 400 supply-chain jobs.
We will likely become a multi-state operation as a result of this move, and not all locations have been selected, said the company in a statement, adding that it expects to begin manufacturing its PMAG-brand magazines within 30 days of the bill-signing.
The company blamed political currents outside Colorado for the legislatures gun-control package.

No, but it would be fun to catch her in her own web of lies...
More people need to stand up. Bold politicians on our side need to stand up and state that we know their goal is confiscation,
then take it a step further and question their motives.
WHY do you need to disarm the people?
What is it that you’re going to do after you disarm them,
that you don’t think you’ll be able to get away with before you disarm them?
Don't forget about all those scumbag kalifornians who, when they tire of the socialist dump they created for themselves, move to greener pastures. Only to turn said greener pastures into yet another socialist sewer. Cf Oregon, Washington State, Colorado, Austin, Tulsa, ad infinitum.
WTF is this all about? Is this a NEW and IMPROVED term the gun grabbers are trying? H-VR mags. Nice ring to it I guess but don't forget the phony "ASSAULT" terminology.
Is it now: High-Velocity Assault Weapon Magazines for short?
What a bunch of clowns.
Mag is welcome in Texas. I hope they come down here. Idaho is also a good state.
In 10 years NY, CO, and the rest of the bottomfeeder states are going to look like Detroit. Just a burned out shell of what they once were.
Make no mistake, the Red state governors are making a concerted recruiting effort to bring successful businesses and manufacturers to their states. Lots of behind the scenes deals being offered. Will be a win-win situation for the businesses and the free states.
That is a very good thing for the nation. COMDEMS must wear this from now on.
There will be a price paid for this gun grab.
Good. I’ve been buying more and more Magpul items since I heard about their plans to leave, as well as their stance about not selling to LEO’s in states with disparate gun laws for citizen and LE.
clowns?
The proper term is “assclowns”.
And as for the “High-Velocity Assault Weapon Magazines”,
looks like they’re trying for some acronym.
You forgot to add O'Malley from MD. Beretta is getting ready to leave MD. also.
hey Magpul, your taking too long
:p
Yes, had read about Beretta, but not clued in on MD. It has not been as visible in the news I read. I have no knowledge of the governor of MD.
The entire weapons industry is very welcome in Texas.
I would like very much to be able to buy a good machine shop from up north to move to TX.
This gun control, political stunt should help us clear Colorado of the Dems in 2014.
I would not count on it. In fact, if was betting, I would bet the other way.
Lickenpuker and his cronies will destroy Colorado. It will be for the elite only. The only jobs will be serving them at restaurants and ski resorts.
Good! I hope all 600 that are losing their jobs voted for this liberal imbecile.
O’Malley is doing to MD what he did for Baltimore and he wants to be President just like Coumo in NY. Md. is going through the same thing as Colorado and NY.
We are on the short list...A local radio host, last I heard was trying to get teh CEO to call him and make a case for relocating to Texas...
I haven’t heard the results from that effort...
Not that it really matters, Magpul is leaving Colorado, and they only have themselves Colorado governor and his idiots to blame...
I guess they think losing 600 votes is not all that big a deal...Thats how they look at it...
