Starbucks chief executive Howard Schultz on Wednesday defended the company’s decision to support marriage equality, and told investors that if they weren’t on board, they could sell their stock and go elsewhere.
Howard Schultz Last year, the Seattle-based company announced its support for legalizing same-sex marriage in Washington state, prompting opponents of the measure — notably the anti-gay National Organization for Marriage — to launch a boycott of Starbucks.
At the company’s annual meeting Wednesday, shareholder Tom Strobhar described Starbucks’ first-quarter performance as disappointing, and suggested that was due in part to the boycott.
“In the first fill quarter after this boycott was announced, our sales and our earrings — shall we say politely — were a bit disappointing,” Strobhar said.
Unfazed, Schultz replied that the company’s decision to support marriage equality was not the bottom line, but about respecting diversity, reported KPLU.
Well of course. The price one pays to buy or sell is the important bit.

I have to add, tho, that it's possible the Seahawks have halted such funding. The original source for this info -- the Web site I saw it at -- was Life Decisions Intl. LDI keeps tabs on which orgs/corporations give $ to PP...and if they don't agree to stop funding PP, LDI keeps them on their list.
The online list they publish is not a complete list -- unlike the other one they circulate...but the Seahawks (& Cowboys) are no longer on that online list.
So its on a list and that makes it true.
It 's not gay and it's not marriage.
P.S. When your "time" comes, you're going to need a better excuse.
