And there was Santorum during his CPAC appearance, still not bashful about defending the Judeo-Christian moralview that is still shared by an overwhelming majority of Republican primary voters across the country. more here...

I am going out on a limb here but I suspect.... oh never mind.

Anyway, did you know that it would take Ronald Reagan three tries over 12 years to attain the Republican presidential nomination? source: Heritage Foundation #LittleKnownFacts

I’m just saying the polls show her as the favorite. Hopefully America is not that stupid but they elected Obama twice. Whoever the dem candidate is, we’ve have a hard time beating him/her. We can’t compete with the party of free stuff.

We will remain in the twilight zone until we put forth a candidate that can garner more votes than the democrat. It doesn’t take a rino to win, but it’s a sure loss with the likes of Hucksters and Sanatoriums.

I love listening to all the complaining half-hearted conservatives. And it’s not until you stop eating up your young will you even come close to winning an election. I suspect a bit of weeding needs to be done up in here, and it’s long overdue.

Last week the media was pushing Jeb Bush and everyone here screamed "No!"
Yesterday someone floated a Huckabee balloon and everyone here screamed "No!"
Today Santorum gets mentioned and everyone here screams "No!"

Unless everyone gets busy and closes the primaries in the states that gave us Dole, McCain and Romney then all of this babbling about who's conservative enough won't matter because we'll end up with who ever the Beltway Dem-a-lites pick for us.

And if that's another sweater vest wearing, no executive experience, lawyer turned career politician from the north east with a questionable record then by golly FReepers will take that suppository, jump on the band wagon out of panic and waddle to the polls in 2016 and vote for him just like the last couple of losers.

I don’t necessarily count him out of running in 2016, but I give him zero chance of getting the nomination. Thus, he’d most likely be at best/worst a spoiler for a conservative candidate.

He will go to Iowa, and win the 15% of the vote that always votes for the guy who talks about NOTHING BUT two issues. And in a crowded field, that might win, like it did last time. But because Iowa is a full year contest for a teeny weeny amount of votes, it ultimately means nothing.

I”m not a Santorum guy either, but losing in PA in a very Democratic year does not mean anything about national chances. Circumstances differ. What bothers me more is how Santorum lost that year, which was by running a “gee, I can be a good liberal too” campaign - something that was astonishingly overlooked during the primaries while Newt and Mitt were obsessed with each other.

It’s all laid out in here, along with a lot more:
