Minnesota state legislators considering a same-sex marriage bill for the state did not have an answer to an 11-year-old girls question on which parent is not needed.
Since every child needs a mom and a dad to be born, I dont think we can change that children need a mom and a dad. I believe God made it that way, Grace Evans, 11, said before the Minnesota House Committee on Civil Law last week. I know some disagree, but I want to ask you this question: Which parent do I not needmy mom or my dad?
She paused for eight seconds as the legislators on the committee sat silent.
Evans concluded, saying, I hope that you can see that every child needs a mom and a dad. Please dont change your law on marriage to say otherwise. Nevertheless, the House committee voted in favor of the gay marriage bill and sent it to the full House. A similar bill is also before the state Senate.

From the mouths of babes..
Rosie O’Donnell’s son told her that he wished he had a father.
Anyone doubt that she will get the usual media anal exam?
Silly, child. He doesn’t need any parents, the government can raise him.
Same reason divorce should be discouraged
Every child has a mother and father. Two lesbians cannot reproduce. They can’t even copulate. Unless a colon can now serve double duty as a womb, neither can two men.
I’m sorry, my FRiends, but we truly live in bizarre times. Many Americans seem to think we can ignore reality simply by voting it away. Everything is possible if they can only imagine it, right? Ridiculous!
Good for her.
It is a shame that she is forced to watch the destruction of her generation at such a young age.
Anymore, I absolutely despise politicians, and by their actions, it seems their feelings are mutual.
yldstrk: “Same reason divorce should be discouraged”
Exactly! Divorce, despite its apparent popularity in America, is a social ill—dare I say, even a sin.
Sharp girl. I feel sorry for her having to live in such a joke of a state. Keith Ellison and Al Franken. Ugh. Bachmann is the only saving grace.
No conservative ought to find it daring to say that.
Getting schooled by an 11 year old! After losing that debate to this brave young lady, the politicians acted in their own best selfish interests. These people disgust me.
I will keep my vow, as God is my witness.
Completely agree
Olog-hai: “No conservative ought to find it daring to say that.”
I agree, but all conservatives are not Christian. I’m not ashamed to speak the truth, but some conservatives close their minds whenever the Bible or sin are mentioned. I’ve seen it firsthand. I discuss how government is out of control, and they nod vigorously in agreement. Then I mention how a lot of it is due to rampant immorality, and they’ll cross their arms, give me a hostile look, and tell me they don’t discuss religion. Nevertheless, the truth is...
God hates divorce!
SoldierDad: “I will keep my vow, as God is my witness.”
Outstanding! If only more Americans would do the same, a whole lot of social (and spending) problems would go away. Immorality is expensive in more ways than one.
more homo crap to push indoctrination
one thing I’d like... since tv content has various ratings to warn parents... I’d like to be warned about homo crap. a big H (for ‘contains homosexual references, innuendos, subject matter, scenes, or material’) before it starts so I can block it
32 years ago last October I made a vow to God and my bride to love, honor, and cherish her until death do we part. That vow is sacred, and should not be cast aside.
I will keep my vow, as God is my witness.
Amen!
There was a time during my, now, 26 year marriage, that our Holy vow to God was all that kept us together. We used to go to the movies a lot to be together without having to talk about more than the plot. Until we were prepared to face the problem.
I know that sounds odd, but, we took our vows seriously. It was up to us, with Gods help, to get over it and get on with it. We both took a sacred vow to love one another, not to leave when the going got rough.
Love is not always romantic, love is first and foremost, a commandment.
We are the type of couple that homosexuals like to point at and say “see they have no children, so that is not what marriage is about...”
The homosexuals delusion is in not seeing that marriage represents the union between Christ and the Church.
