History Channel: What the Hell?

The History Channel is refuting accusations that the character portraying Satan in their hit miniseries “The Bible” bears a striking resemblance to President Obama.

Television viewers took to Twitter and Facebook Sunday night to point out the similarities between Moroccan actor Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni and the Commander-in-Chief.

“That resemblance is uncanny,” wrote one viewer on my Facebook page. “It looks like President Obama 20 years from now.”

The cable network released a statement to Huffington Post refuting the comparisons and noted that Ouazanni has been portraying satanic characters long before President Obama was elected.

“History Channel has the highest respect for President Obama,” the statement read. “The series was produced with an international and diverse cast of respected actors. It’s unfortunate that anyone made this false connection.”

Executive producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett also released statements calling Obama a fellow Christian who they love and respect.

"False statements such as these are just designed as a foolish distraction to try and discredit the beauty of the story of The Bible,” they said.

So there you have it, folks. There is no connection between the Lake of Fire and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Regardless – that’s still one heck of a doppelganger.

In my mind, the Xerxes character from 300 is far more evocative of Obama, particularly when he tells Ephialtes, "Unlike the cruel Leonidas who asks that you stand, I ask only that you kneel."

I am recording each episode and watch them afterwards. For some reason I only got the last three minutes of the episode. So I checked the guide on the channel when it would be repeated again and set it to record. I watched the episode the next day then

he does look a lot like 0, only uglier. what the libs forget is temptation or evil looks, smells, taste and feels good, and the portrayal of satan as a evil looking being is false to begin with, as he was God’s most beautiful angel, and will retain his looks so he can tempt again and again.

The angel that was the messenger (who looked more like a Roman soldier) to Mary was too war like in looks and dress to send to a 14-15 year old girl it would have frightened her badly as they feared the Romans.
