The Republican National Committees Growth and Opportunity Projecta self-assessment of the GOPs 2012 performance, released Mondaydiagnoses the party with a dire messaging problem, among other potentially life-threatening woes. But the surprising news from the report? It supports comprehensive immigration reform.
The study says that the GOP must embrace and champion reform, or fall victim to shrinking constituencies. We also believe that comprehensive immigration reform is consistent with Republican economic policies that promote job growth and opportunity for all, the report says.
The GOP is famously divided over the immigration issue. Some prominent Republicans have voiced their support, like Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla.both of whom represent states with significant Hispanic and Latino populations. (In Arizona, 30% of people identify as Hispanic or Latino, as do 23% in Florida, versus 16.7% of the national population). Others, like Jeb Bush, have bobbled, while Mitt Romneys staunch conservative stance on immigration reform cost him Latino votes in 2012.

Vichy Poop Republicans and national suicide
Can’t wait for the excuse makers to put on their show for us.
The GOP needs to stop pretending they can make conservatives out of illegal aliens and worry about bringing Americans to conservatism.
The only option we have now is to let America destroy itself and prepare for the fallout.
Tea Party 2016: Sarah Palin/Rand Paul.
Actually sometimes I think we should all get on the gay/illegal train and speed up the collapse. Why wait? It’s gonna happen. Might as well ‘assist in the coming’ so those left can rebuild a Lib-free America.
the GOPe shows its colors.

Levin has gone over it again and again. In every election since Reagan, the GOP has never gotten more than 35%.(Reagan) even after amnesty by Reagan. It has been downhill from there.
Lost cause. Unless someone knows how to get into the voting group and take back the party.
I mean I am a registered republican. Now how does one get their vote in on policy? I think we have enough conservatives who consider themselves republicans to swarm And take over.
What is the procedure?
Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip.
I have no problem with immigration reform.
1. Build the fence.
2. Legal immigrants get citizenship.
3. All incarcerated illegals and their extended families are deported.
4. Illegals in good standing(outside of being here illegally) have a 10 year wait which during that time they are ineligible for government benefits. If they are arrested for a traffic ticket, they get deported.
The procedure is to stop pining for things that will never be, accept the fact and join like minded people in forming a conservative party/alternative.
Pretty much my thoughts as well.
That ain’t going to happen and you should know that by now. Palin does not want the job, she wants to motivate, not sit in some office.
Which should be realistic and fine with most people.
If the Republicans behave like Democrats, why do we need two parties?
The Republican Party is hopeless, I hink it is time to bail on them and start a third party. Results can’t be any worse than watching these fools flounder.
Romney lost because millions of “old white guys” like us stayed home on election day. Romney got fewer votes than McCain got in 2008. 0bama got millions less votes in 2012 than he received in 2008, and the GOP still lost. Now the GOPe is telling us, the base, to get lost. The GOP will never get a majority of Hispanic vote. Even if they did they would still lose without the old white guy votes.
Michael Barone did an analysis and concluded that Romney would have lost even if he got %60 of the Hispanic vote.
