When conservatives complain about the harm that the endless debate schedule had on the 2012 Republican primary candidates, the conversation often turns to the hosts and the moderators.
Why are Republican candidates letting someone like ABC’s George Stephanopoulos — a former aide to Democrat Bill Clinton — ask them “gotcha questions” during a GOP primary?
Why are GOP presidential hopefuls agreeing to meet for a debate hosted by an outlet like MSNBC, a cable network that has increasingly grown hostile to Republicans as it self-identifies as a liberal news network?
As the Republican Party released a 100-page report on Monday about what the party can do better to win elections, committee members are recommending that the Republican National Committee step in to regulate these televised showdowns come 2016.
And RNC chairman Reince Priebus told The Daily Caller that the party does not only want to reduce the number of debates. The RNC, he said, also wants to explore the possibility of choosing who actually asks the questions during the debates.
“I think the party should have more control over who moderates, and we should have more control over the partners,” Priebus told TheDC. “And if we can come up with a mechanism to take more control over the debate processes, that’s what we’re going to try to do.”

The Republican party should stand firm at least, and say “Candy Crowley will never moderate another debate ever again.”
This is about the only smart idea I’ve heard from the RNC this week.

You're so right on this fool in paradise. All the issues dems use to scare their base come up... Every 'debate' deals with abortion. No debates in the last 10 years have dealt with gun control... because that issue works FOR us... I worry about why are guys are so slow to catch on to how much the MSM hates them. How could they not know?
They needed a committee and a study to come to this conclusion? No wonder Obama won.
The GOP is just now figuring this out ?!?!?! The GOP truly is the stupid party.

FOX is a liberal broadcast network, just like ABC, NBC and CBS.
I hope you meant the FOX News Channel (FNC), which is on cable and very fair in comparison, with the exceptions of opinion shows like Hannity, Huckaby and the drama queen Shepard Smith... who is supposed to report news but constantly shows himself to be a wimpy metrosexual; ...and Geraldo (another drama queen), who constantly shows himself to be a racist.
Yes, Fox News - a group that’s about a million times better than ABC, NBC, CNN and CBS combined... Not saying they’re without fault - - just a million times better.
Yeah, they throw an occasional bone to conservatives, but 99% of the time, they are just as bad as the rest of them.
