I’m surprised John McCain isn’t on all of them.

Must be a slow news week.

Awwwwwww. I woke up in an alternate reality this morning — one where neither John McCain nor Lindsey Graham was on the Sunday Morning News Talkies.

In this alternate reality, however, Speaker Boehner says, on This Week with Martha Raddis, that he ‘trusts President Obama.’

FNS

LaTourette: The problem isn't with Mr. Kibbe's group, but it is with Tea Party groups LIKE Mr. Kibbe's group.

[Talk about a backhand to the face! LaTourette -- president of the Republican Main Street Partnership -- sounds like he is right out of a meeting with the GOPe.]

Mc and Cheezy may be absent this morning, but their media cohorts are playing videos of them this week. So even in their absence we are inundated with their presence.

No McCain or Graham. I guess they are both still yelling at Rand Paul, "Hey you kid, get off my lawn!" Then they can hike each other's pants real high.

Did Chris Wallace ask Dick Durbin where the administration buried the Bengazi survivors? (Yes, that's a trick question.)

FNS Panel

Easton must be trying to get in good with the Rove coalition — she says the GOP needs to be more of the party of inclusion.

[Bigger tent, more leftward, more Dem lite, more amnesty pushes. Yeah, that’s the ticket, as the last 2 major elections have shown. /s]

Trippe and Rove are giggling like junior high girls at the namecalling going on with the various factions of the Republican party — wacko birds vs. old moss, etc.

[FNS panel has become insufferable in recent weeks.]

In the aftermath of some hours spent watching the speeches at CPAC this week, I concluded that the more things change the more they really don’t—at least for me.

While there are many good things about many of the Republican conservative potentials out there—Bachmann, Newt, Jindal, Rubio, Rand Paul in particular—the one who speaks more closely in sync with my thinking and in my opinion is also the most charismatic and persuasive of the pack is Mrs. Sarah Palin, R, Alaska, who had me at “Hello” in 2008 and still does.

To me, there is still no close second. She can just flat out rock it in a way that only Reagan could.

ABC Talk Show:

Xavier Becerra made a comment that the biggest spending item to control is the tax breaks in the Internal Revenue Code; a $1 Trillion giveaway, something like that.

Does anybody here know if Mr. Becerra's comment includes the Earned Income Credit? Just think, if we eliminated EIC, a significant number of people who DON'T pay any federal income tax would start paying it. That could take the 47% down a lot.

Then Matthew Dowd made some comment about the need to stop running CPAC and start a new conservative gathering, because "CPAC has become irrelevant." An ironic comment coming from a guy who makes regular appearances on a Sunday morning political talk show.
