For the fourth consecutive night residents, police officers, and news crews converged on East Flatbush Brooklyn Thursday to take part, respond to, and report the outrage over the fatal police shooting of 16-year old Kimani Gray. Carol Gray told Pix11, Hes not the publics angel. But hes my baby. And he was slaughtered. And I want to know why. Even after the first shot, second bullet, why third bullet, why fourth bullet, why?
Grays mother seemed to acknowledge the negative characterizations of her son now swirling in the media.
Statements made by the NYPD that Gray was armed, his gun recovered at the scene and other media reports that the teen was an alleged gang member.

If you throw out personal responsibility for your own actions, then anyone can do anything and blame someone else.
My father did not have a good childhood. He joined the Army. He told me that the Drill Sergeants showed him how much they cared about his poor childhood. He started taking responsibility for his life.
None of us can step into a time machine and magically transport back to the time when a kid’s life goes to crap. We can, however, demand that he behave in a civilized manner.
True, but our culture says “if it feels good, do it” and our culture picks on Christian values as though they are twisted. It is very confusing to the young and to the stupid and the Biblically illiterate
Well, on the bright side, reality has a way of rearing its head and setting things aright.
I hope everyone has read Kipling’s “Gods of the Copybook Headings”.
http://www.kipling.org.uk/poems_copybook.htm
well, I think it is the problem of all of us, much as we would like to wash our hands of it, we all share a planet and, at this point, Christian values have to vigorously fought for and taught, and condemning a kid because he didn’t “ have the moral fortitude to know that it was HIS responsibility to work so others did not have to support him” without ever having heard it or having seen it modeled or having an opportunity to have a part time job because all the small businesses are devastated is wrong.
Wow, I had never read that before. Prescient
I've seen these images with the reports
Sixteen-years old? Are the MSM trying to make it even worse or was the guy really only eleven or twelve years old.. IOW are some in the MSM using the Trayvon trick to inflame emotions even further by showing the victim as an eleven or twelve-year-old child?
If so then I would like to point out..
President Obama (shown below) has denounced police who act stupidly and has reminded the public of the danger and racism he faces daily.. isn't that enough to get the message across?
Her “baby” had 4 bullets in HIS gun. If 1 is enough for the cops who suddenly have a thug pointing a loaded gun at them why would he her “baby” need more than 1?
Totally believable.
I can imagine not one but many councilmen or women in Philly proper (or Detroit, or other large metro area) urging unrest and riot.
‘Community Organize’, folks.
And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!
Is that Stanley next to him?
She looks like a little girl.
Hey, I am a Catholic orthodox, I despise socialism and communism if you are implying otherwise. At the same time, I feel compassion for kids like this Kiki kid. To be clear, I am endorsing a good economy and business friendly environment to address some of these issues and alleviate hopelessness in the urban areas. These areas have been devastated by the administration’s economic policies. If they hadn’t been, people would have a chance to make something of themselves. As it stands, there is nothing but hopelessness.
The irony is that in situations like this “men” who ran from the responsibility of raising and supporting the sons they fathered, are likely to show up to try to get some wrongful death suit money and some TV time with Al and Jesse.
Worked great in Detroit!
replying to the wrong person, perhaps?
The post you replied to was the last stanza of the Gods of the Copybook Headings...
How would that be implying you’re a socialist?
Even us “heartless conservatives” want to help these people have better lives, but not through the pointing of a gun at our heads or the heads of others.
Oh, sorry, I thought that by posting that stanza you were saying I propounded the same sentiments, I now am guessing you were posting it as a thing of beauty on which you and I both agree? It is a thing of beauty and I totally agree that socialism and communism are of the other.
Plan B: if all you have around you are deadbeats, then get sterilized first.
That last stanza is the violent crescendo that is left echoing in the room.
Sounds like some charismatic predator took advantage of an impressionable young girl.
