It's all clear to me now... the 17th amendment was passed in May 1913 and the new Senators popularly elected in 1914 used in a time machine to go back in time to 1912, and then FORCED their wonderful state legislature appointed counterparts to enact an income tax. (after all, Senators appointed by politicians are statesmen who believed in STATES RIGHTS and would NEVER pass a statist federal law like the 16th amendment) Those weaselly progressives!
There's just no end to the evils caused by the 17th. I hear there's now good evidence it's directly responsible for the Black Death of the 1300's.
No, but some people chimed in that they think the 17th is worse than the income tax. And giving DC electors and prohibition and any other amendment you may not agree with. Actually by the way they talk they seem to think it's the worst thing in the history of forever, which is pretty twisted if you ask me.
