Three So Called ‘Reasonable’ Policy’s Leading to National Gun Registration
Ammo Land ^ | Mar. 14, 2013 | Dudley Brown

Colorado -–(Ammoland.com)- The most dangerous phase in the fight to defeat the gun grabbers’ all-out assault on our Second Amendment freedoms is upon us.

I’m talking about the gun grabbers’ “Plan B” alternative – a triple threat designed to sound more “reasonable” to the public than a total gun ban.

After I explain why this “Plan B” triple threat is so dangerous, I need you to take IMMEDIATE action and forward this article to every pro-gun person you know and ask them to help fight back as well.

The “Plan B” alternative has three components: Fictitious “gun trafficking” legislation, so-called “mental health screenings” and “expanded background checks.”

“Gun Trafficking” So-called “Gun trafficking” is the gun grabbers’ latest scheme, and it’s flying fast under the radar.

The ultimate goal is to hand Obama’s ATF goons the power to terrorize gun owners via sting operations, and get gun owners to start screaming for a national gun registry.

There’s Senator Patrick Leahy’s so-called Stop Illegal Trafficking in Firearms Act of 2013 (S. 443) and Kristin Gillibrand’s Gun Trafficking Prevention Act (S. 179) in the Senate, and then there’s the Scott Rigell/Carolyn Maloney Gun Trafficking Prevention Act (H.R. 452) in the House.

More properly referred to as the Forced Gun Owner Registration Act, S. 443 imposes harsh sentences on gun owners – up to 15 years in prison – for buying a firearm to sell our give a “prohibited person.”

Already, 150,000 of our nation’s veterans are considered “prohibited” just because they acknowledged stress on returning from war.

So just buying a shotgun for a son returning home from Afghanistan - so you could spend some time in the woods together hunting like the old days -could be enough to land you in jail for 15 years.

The only way for law-abiding Second Amendment supporters to ultimately prove their innocence would be if every firearms transfer is signed off on by the Federal Government – paving the way for a national gun registry.

And you and I both know so-called “gun registration” is the first step toward TOTAL GUN CONFISCATION!

Knowing that 90% plus of all crimes and murders are commited by Democrats seems to me the easy way to address the problem begins with a house to house search, strip down, body cavity search, and then waterboarding of REGISTERED DEMOCRATS.

Repeat until the murder rate declines 50%~

Oh, and leave everybody else alone. BTW, no need to do that body cavity search on Feinstein ~

Once you cede control, it will be gone forever and the control will get tighter and tighter.

Yep. And remember the 2nd amendment is a Right granted by God not Government or Men.

Free Men Need Not Ask Permission.

That's how the left does it.
Every little step is "reasonable", "not a big deal", "for the children" or "will only affect a few" until the combined effect is totalitarian control.
Resist it. Even what seems "reasonable". They are not reasonable. There is nothing reasonable about their goal.
It's only now when they think they have the upper hand and are taking bigger steps than usual that we even notice what they're doing.

Policy’s what? What belongs to policy?

Is that anything like ‘reasonable policies’?

Progressives today are communists plus their Saul Alinsky motto is to never let a good tradegy/crisis go to waste.

This gun grab cannot be done if the Republican House refuses to allow it.

Ever Republican Congressman must be emailed, faxed, written to and told he/she will be voted out if they let this pass.

If and when the penalty for possessing a semi-auto “prohibited” weapon is the same as possessing a full-auto “prohibited” weapon, the choice will be clear.

I hate to think this but, I do think that registration is going to happen and their is nothing we are going to do about it. This is just like Obummer care. The few sacrificial lambs will take it for the home team and will get passed. The few select that are in charge now will still be in charge after. Just like Obummer care.

The E-pubs bitched and moaned to put up a good fight but did nothing after, Hell, they are even funding it without a whimper. These people are cut from the same cloth. The only thing they are fighting over is who is going to be in charge when it is over.

Only someone with totalitarian plans would try to make laws like this.

Progressives have always been communists. The Progressive Movement was an emulation of the worker’s revolution in Russia in the early 20th century.

I prefer Proppressives (Pro + oppressive, meaning in favor of oppressive, unlimited government)

Suits them to a ‘T’ and they read it as the other ‘more positive’ word.

Nelson T. ‘Pete’ Shields
Founder of Handgun Control, Inc.

“I’m convinced that we have to have federal legislation to build on. We’re going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily — given the political realities — going to be very modest.

Of course, it’s true that politicians will then go home and say, ‘This is a great law. The problem is solved.’ And it’s also true that such statements will tend to defuse the gun-control issue for a time.

So then we’ll have to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen that law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, we’d be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal — total control of handguns in the United States — is going to take time.

My estimate is from seven to ten years. The problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns sold in this country. The second problem is to get them all registered. And the final problem is to make the possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition — except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors — totally illegal.”

-Pete Shields, Chairman and founder, Handgun Control Inc., “A Reporter At Large: Handguns,” The New Yorker, July 26, 1976, 57-58

“Yes, I’m for an outright ban [on handguns].”

-Pete Shields, Chairman emeritus, Handgun Control, Inc., 60 Minutes interview

IN the mid 1980s, HCI decided to push for a BAN on certain rifles and shotguns.
