Finally, in response to Cruz's question, Feinstein likens so-called assault weapons to child pornography, which she suggests is a limit to the First Amendment and can legally be banned. Defining child pornography is easy....defining "assault weapon" is not. Feinstein is just a gun grabber.... Equating gun ownership with porn is laughable.

The rights are not absolute — yelling ‘Fire!’ in a crowded theater, child porn, etc.
I like that Cruz is standing up to her but he probably won’t win the argument based on this line of reasoning.

8:13 am in stream or is it 58:31 minutes in the stream. Shummer is having a heated discussion on the side.
the D talking is begging for a split vote on the aw ban from the magazine ban. He thinks there is more than 60 on that.
NOBODY is discussing the fact that now a “cuomo” thirty round clip can be 3d printed ON YOUR DESKTOP 3d printer! (2,200 dollar printer)

This could have easily backfired on Cruz if Feinswine had the smarts to say “child porn books” on her first try instead of blustering and “making several points in response” (rather than answering his question)
In fact it may have given them their next talking point “We can all agree on banning CERTAIN books and we can all agree on banning certain guns”
But I am glad whe was not smart enough- she came off looking stupid

“Equally chilling is Turban Durbins statement that these rights ARE NOT absolute.”
Since these rights are bestowed by God, perhaps Feinstein and Durban should talk to Him before making any comments.

The proper response by Cruz:
Actually, his calm, quiet demeanor as she spun and twisted was perfect. Ask the unanswerable question, and let the witness be revealed for what she is.

Defining child pornography is easy.. The problem is allowing the dems to frame the debate by dragging in the strawman of kiddie porn. He should make the filthy hag explain to explain that analogy - i.e. in what way is it okay for the military and the police exercise their right to keep and bear kiddie porn. If cops and soldiers can't stand around watching kiddie porn, then they can't be trusted to have even semi-autos like the AR-15 nor magazines over 7 rounds.

Yes...for us that have a patriotic understanding of the BoR. it’s the “low-information voter” [TM, Rush Limbaugh] that actually understand it the other way.
Their limited union-based background leads them to understand that longevity leads to seniority and seniority to authority.
