Cyber-attacks and cyber-espionage pose a greater potential danger to U.S. national security than Al Qaeda and other militants that have dominated America's global focus since Sept. 11, 2001, the nation's top intelligence officials said Tuesday.

For the first time, the growing risk of computer-launched foreign assaults on U.S. infrastructure, including the power grid, transportation hubs and financial networks, was ranked higher in the U.S. intelligence community's annual review of worldwide threats than worries about terrorism, transnational organized crime and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

China? Oh, they'll still be able to get in our systems.

So global warming isn’t the biggest threat after all.

I suspect that once they got into credit reports of the DC VIPs....that has put extreme fear into them. If you get to credit reports...then you can get to college transcripts, lawyer files on divorce or pending divorce, etc. Various life stories could be told in a different fashion. These guys probably already hacked into Occidental College and have the grade averages of the President.

Privacy is the biggest problem.

Oh, and terrorism... just look at all the terrorists the TSA is catching... why they've already caught... ummm...

"Cyber-attacks and cyber-espionage pose a greater potential danger to U.S. national security than Al Qaeda and other militants..."

The two are NOT mutually exclusive.

Depends on whom you ask: Commander Of U.S. Pacific Forces Says Global Warming Is Our Top Threat. I think the biggest threats arehaving a military commander who is more worried about the weather than about his professional responsibilities and a Community-Organizer-in-Chief who is more worried about social justice than about preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution of the United States of America.

When it's revealed that a major hack has occurred they will look to these news reports to say, "See we told ya"

My guess is they have already had a MAJOR breach and just won't admit it.

Do you trust this government? ANY OF IT?

Dang, and I thought the biggest terrorist threat to the US government was US vets, constitutionalists, second amendment advocates, prolifers, Christians, etc.!

Threats to the power of the US government keeps growing and expanding. The solution to “keep us safe” is to end another aspect of our freedom and inflict heavier Federal police state abuse on US citizens, every time.

Dang! If we all would just get into prison camps, the US government would be safe and we all would be skinny as Hollywierd and healthy, too. We could all be re-educated to be “smart” like our globalist overlords for a change. They have enough drones and ammo to kill us all. Then, finally the US government would be real safe.
